I just saw some ad thread advertising wow gold on the forums and the thread had been locked. I can understand possibly keeping the thread there to inform a poster who may have made an honest mistake, but I don't see why you would let them keep their ad up. I would suggest you either delete the post they made or at least remove links and relevant information that still makes the ad effective.

I like that you guys take the time to keep the forums clean, but this particular case wasn't very effective. If this is just a one time thing then you can probably ignore me, but if that's a moddb policy you should consider changing it.

Delete ad threads all together and send a PM to the user to explain to them what they did wrong and how they might be able to make a new and more appropriate post.

I locked it to stop un needed "go away posts"
I cant delete threads im sure when a proper admin comes they will remove it :)
So blame me, i shouldnt be locking stuff anyway so my bad...was just trying to help

Yeah, sorry about that. We're pretty good at finding and taking care of bad situations like that, but when we go to lock something, we sometimes forget to delete the post itself. This is a very rare occurrence, so I hope you do not take offense. :)
