Wow. Uhm....not to be mean or anything but I THINK you might want to take down the profile until you get some better material.I'm not saying what you have is bad, but let me hit on a few things I found akward...

1.The models - Now, If you're going for low-poly, that's fine. But if you weren't aware HL2 can support player models of up to 5k polys and 3k polys for weapons.

2.Skins - What you have there, is uhm...well.....yea.It looks like it's from NES.Once again I will say if that's the look you're going for then all is well

3.Idea - Rather then basing your mod off of something, at least in the closely related fashion you're doing, how about making it loosely based on something?Take my mod for example, I'm basing my mod off of George Romero's works (Dawn of the Dead, Night of the Living Dead, etc) but in reality I'm only sticking w/ the zombie concept from that.In conclusion, needs some work. Sorry :/

He doesn't have to take down his profile just because it doesn't satisfy you. There's plenty of mods up here that don't even have anything done with it. It could always be called works in progress. They can base their mod on whatever they want, it's their choice. Let them suffer the consequences if their stuff isn't good enough for people...

I can agree with you on models and skins but if they can do it they are certainly welcome to plus I think making a mod is quite an experience :D

the models are works in progress to clear that up they are being improved with more detail and when hl2 does come out they will be updated with bump maps

thanks for all your suggestions but remember all this is a work in progress and i am still waiting for the hl2 SDK to be released so i can use the full extent of the engine.

i know that if i start trying to do all the fancy stuff to models now there will be something i missed and ill have to start all over with the model

You should do research into Half-Life 2, then.

Here's a real helpful link: Collective.valve-erc.com

It's a HL2 Modding FAQ

thanks but ive already read all of it and it mostly says that with adding new stuff like bump maps and stuff to weapons you have to wait until the hl2 sdk
