You have no idea how many times I was bashed because all I hold is a management position in my team (Although I did contribute with a concept image that they loved). But, it takes a hell of a lot of work, especially with keeping morale high and keeping things rolling, not to mention making us a tight-knit group. But, things tend to work out in the end a lot of the time.

Well written post. As project lead I can only agree to what was said there. My only additions would be on the software side of project management, there are a lot of complete php tools out there, for free. Find them, they will increase efficiency.

Excellent guide, right away I felt compelled to take control and devise deadlines, task tables etc. Ive handed out the tasks and took some major control..

Only time will tell if things start shaping up.

BTW, excellent read. Very helpful. Well...it shows me a humbling utopia that I doubt ever really exists, but trying to attain it could help
