I was wondering what the developers think of this idea:
A summer of code project for next year. There will be three "teams" that will strive to accomplish a task handed to them. The course would run from mid may to mid august. The two teams with the lesser knowledge of programming would be assisted to help them learn the code to make this a learning experience.
Tasks of teams:
Team B) Create a 3D platformer for PC (possibly PS3 also) inspired by the original PSX classic 3D platformers (Crash, Spyro, etc...) in UDK.
Team C) This team will be tasked with making a game oriented programming language running in Java or C++. They will be focused on making the games run smooth and making it the next gen language that everyone will be using in the future.
