The Year is 199X.

After a nuclear war, the entirety of the United States was laid to waste, all of the major centers of civilization being reduced to warring city-states who now fight each other for domination using their Football teams.

Yes, this is a game I really thought of, and I want it to be as cheesy as possible, with Moral Kombat style digitized graphics and fatalities that can be engaged when you tackle people in a certain way. However, these would also have practical consequences in the game, such as permanently taking out a team member as the most basic, but it could also have other applications as well. These extra effects are taking off the enemy player's head to use as a second football for a play (which can lead to 2 touchdowns in one play), kicking an enemy's body across the field (and through the Field Goal for an extra point), taking someone's legs off (and adding them to your body so you can run faster), or punching someone's skin off and using it to make strong arming other players easier. Beyond that, there would also be a warpath mode, which is essentially a career mode where you fight for domination over the other cities, but also have to deal with "Visiting Teams" (wandering football teams which appear randomly during the warpath) and "Wild Mascots" (which are godzilla style monsters that you have to play a game against).

If I knew how to program this game I would, but my skills aren't up to the challenge. If someone wants to use this idea for their own game, please let me know first so I can play it when the game is done, but also because I would like a little credit for the original idea and would be willing to help out if you get stumped for more of them.

Until then, thank you for reading, and have a nice day.

with Moral Kombat

I know that's a typo but I can't help noticing and thinking what kind of game it would be if it were to be created ;D

Well, the idea is really cruel and might work for deathmatch game however since it's supposed to be football game, you need to define how scoring works as that's what missing from this idea

Oh BTW what would happen to players who have lost/gained some body parts after a match? can they regain/keep those body parts? or their career simply is simply cut off?

but also because I would like a little credit for the original idea

The idea might be brilliant but asking people to create the game for you and get credited later is terrible

I'd be interested in it just to see how a football team would fight Godzilla, also the idea of 'rouge football teams' seems humourous. The rest would be interesting to watch for the first few times at least before it become a gruesome football game (cause ya know, strategy). But id think you would have to make it so each 'player' would be ready to go at every play. Think how much Mortal Combat would suck if someone fatalitied Scorpion and then he was just gone from the game...

Also interested to hear what the football players would shout out, being half soldier half football player. Also what would the announcer(s) be like? John Madden meets Drill Sergeant? Would they get tools and gear half army half football? The sniper quarterback, camouflaged running back, heavy gunman offensive tackler, demolition field goal kicker, insurgent...uhhh the one who tries to tackle the quarterback after the snap, and so on and so forth.

Of course they would have to play with a bomb so it destroyed the enemy's side of the dome/field.

I don't think people would necessarily use this idea to make a game. People generally like coming up with their own ideas or working with others on their projects, that and using other peoples ideas can get sticky. That being said, if you really want to see this game made, start it. Recruit some artists, programmers and offer them a percentage of the sales or wages, wages are nice too. Even if you can't bring anything into making the game itself you can still manage your team, which takes a bit of work in itself.

@Darkbloodbane

1. Well, we could have a super Nintendo Esq code you could put in to turn that mode on :)

2. Scoring would work as with a normal football game, however, bonus tributes (currency) could be paid for every player taken out, so it would actually be possible for you to loose a match but, because you knocked out 4-5 enemy players, you are actually on a better financial foot than you would have been winning. Also, probably not, as the limbs would rot after a few plays, or break from the stress of game play.

3. I don't think that came out right from me. While I do love this idea, I'm not overtly attached to it, so my drive to get a team together is not all that high. Pretty much, I'm saying the idea is up for anyone to use, but if they did, I would like something like "Inspired by a madman" somewhere in the credits. It isn't necessary, mind you, but I know I would do that if I borrowed someone else's game idea.

@Thr 111

1. Godzilla type monster would be a one man team you would have to play against, who takes something like four of five consecutive tackles to take down, and can breath fire.

2. You have a roster of characters you could sub in, and you can always recruit more of them after matches, so unless you loose, let's say 12 players in one game,

3. Think more Madmax barbarian, 80's-90's style post apocalypse.

4. There could be a mode like that.

5. Please see #3 for DarkBloodbane. Besides that, I don't have the liquid capital to pay for programmers, artists, or anyone, so the idea is mainly here for the people who do, and want to, make this.

Not sure. It aint a terrible idea unless you're litterally just ordering them around without doing any real work such as designing game mechanics, code, art, marketing etc. You can do this as long as you apply it to yourself as well
