Hi there!

im new to this forum and relatively new to game programming. This is my first real project, a top-down 2d shooter focused on customization and fast paced action. It uses a physics environment for movement and collision detection.

I wanted to look around the forums to maybe get some feedback on my work.

So here is a little effect i wrote these days for my project. I will post the three phases i went through to develeop this *shocked* or *ionized* debuff effect for the player ship. It is caused by enemy ion weapons and slows down the ship in the final version. It might also reduce energy regeneration or weapon cooldown and the likes. For now it would be nice to know what you think of it!
