Post feature Report RSS Second method to getting this mod to work with Catalyst AI

I figured out another method to get around the Catalyst AI problem that many ATI users are very aware of. It's very simple and worked for me.

I decided to try out the latest beta drivers from AMD to see if they had finally fixed this infamous problem that plagues many Doom 3 mod users. Of course nothing had been fixed. But then I looked around the net for about an hour and came across something that seemed to good to be true.Change the "Doom3.exe" application's name to "Doom 3.exe". Guess what? It worked perfectly. So try downloading the latest beta suite from AMD and then try this out. Hope it works for you.

All this did for me was mess up steam sadly. Now it detects a missing executable.

Just run the executable directly from windows. You only need Steam to be running. Other than that Steam is pretty mellow on this one.

Edit: You can also try "Add a non-Steam game" if you want the overlay...

nvm about the "non steam game" feature which doesn't work.

Running through windows should though.
