C&C3 NE CCP - Compatibility Guide - Introduction

Thanks to the compilation methods used in "C&C3 NE", You can enjoy the new feature OmegaCam/OmegaGUI or both on your favorite mod, using the instructions we offer below.

Unfortunately the level of compatibility, will depend on the Mod that you want to use.
It is not possible to combine the new models 3d of sky, music and other assets, which is "tread" the original files of the other mod.

This is why we have created a new C&C3 NE CCP (Compatibility Core Patch), with which you can merge the new camera system ( Whith 4 different animated skies and 30 new maps) and the three new HUDs (Ypsilom, Omega and Delta), with most of the mods out there today.

It should be noted that this new kernel is Standalone and does not need the full version of the NE CNC3 to function.

You will need:

* C&C3 NE Compatibility Core...
Here
* A viewer and editor for .BIG files. E.g. Finalbig ( Although this will not always be necessary, it is recommended to have )... Here
* Text editor (just Windows Notepad or Notepad++).

Steps to follow

STEP 0

Create a backup of your favorite MOD. (This is for safety purposes only)

STEP 1

Copy the CNC3 NE files in the same folder of your favorite mod, rather it be the C&C3 Mods directory or where-ever you choose to launch it from.

STEP 2

Use the text editor to open the ".Skudef" of your favorite mod.

STEP 3

Within the file "SKUDEF" of your favorite mod , you should add only one
of the following lines and save:

Add-config DELTA_1.0.skudef
"To load the Delta interface and OmegaCam".
---
Add-config OMEGA_1.0.skudef
"To load the interface Omega and OmegaCam"
---
Add-config YPSILON_1.0.skudef
"To load the interface Ypsilon and OmegaCam"
---
Add-config CORE_1.0.skudef
"To load only Omega Cam and maps, without new interface"

NOTE: Some MODS have their own HUD of combat (for example MEC2). In these cases the three new interfaces are not compatible (you should try to use only "Add-config CORE_1.0.skudef")

STEP 4

Ready!
Run your mod favorite, from the panel of mods, from a shortcut or through the method that you like.

TIP 1:

Some MODs have their own "Gamedata.ini" file. For greater compatibility with the new camera system, you need to remove this from the file .BIG (for this use Finalbig, available above)

0- Create a backup of your favorite mod
1- Open the file "BIG" of your favorite mod with Finalbig
2- Search and select the file "gamedata.ini". Go to "Edit/Delete file"
3- Go to "File/Quick save".

https://media.moddb.com/images/articles/1/96/95761/auto/checklist.jpg

TIP 2:

If your want to enjoy the new menus and new cursors, in your favorite mod, you should also download the full version of C&C NE and perform the guide with the files "DELTA_1.0.big, YPSILON_1.0.big and OMEGA_1.0.big" located in the folder:

X?:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Command & Conquer 3\C&C3 A NEW EXPERIENCE

NOTE: The file "CORE_1.0.big" (OmegaCam) of the full version of CNC NE is not compatible with other MODS. Use the file (CORE_1.0.big) provided in this guide.

NOTE 2: If your favorite mod has a file "Video.ini", new videos of C&C3 NE full version will not see. To fix this you must delete this file "Video.ini" in the same way that you deleted the file "Gamedata.ini"

We are creating a "list of compatibility".
I hope to receive your help in the task of completing this list

Enjoy the world of Command And Conquer!

I am trying to use the compatibility mode with KW Reloaded 0.75. It loads but when I attempt to play skirmish, there are no maps in the map selection panel. Is there a solution for this?

Thanks!

Mal.

You used the exact process of the Guide?
The compatibility core was downloaded correctly?
You try the process with the full version of CNC NE? Moddb.com
---
I do not have the mod KW Reloaded, but maybe this mod have your own "mapmetadata" files.
---
Try the following solution:

*Open the .big of KW Reloaded with Finalbig ... DELETES the FOUR FILES "mapmetadata"... and quick save: Ima.jamps.com.ar

---
Now try again to join the compatibility core, using the Guide.
---

It is all the help I can give.
It was a pleasure talking to you :)

I am trying to use the compatibility core with Tiberium Essence, but when I open up the mod, the screen is too zoomed in.

Your own maps you must edit them yourself: Moddb.com

If the problem is not that, something you should be doing wrong... Retry...

Steps to follow:
- Copy CORE_1.0.big and CORE_1.0.skudef in the folder of CnC Fallout
- You have to delete or edit "Gamedata.ini" within "data.big"
- Then edit "CNCFallout_0.1.skudef" and add the line: add-config CORE_1.0.skudef
- Now you can play CnC Fallout with new camera, zoom and new maps

I couldn't get it to work on mine even after these steps. The regular version of C&C NE works just fine, but doesn't want to work with CNC Fallout. Game runs like normal with no camera changes. I'm running C&C Fallout by a created shortcut pointing to the CNCFallout_0.1.skudef. Any ideas? How are you launching CNC Fallout?

in the folder of CnC Fallout, You have to delete "Gamedata.ini" within "data.big"?
*******
I can create a patch, or record a video tutorial... you what prefer?

Yes I have deleted the "Gamadata.ini" within "data.big". Still does not work. =( Maybe a patch would be great?

I don't think my "CNCFallout_0.1.skudef" is reading the "CORE_1.0.skudef", because the new maps are not available on there either. Are you sure the line "add-config CORE_1.0.skudef" is correct and not "add CORE_1.0.skudef"?

Thanks again for your time.

WOW! I feel like a total nub :( So i "thought" I was running "as administrator" on my computer, but apparently I wasn't. I had to run CnC Fallout as administrator to get the NE version working, otherwise it would just run normally without NE, which was the problem I was getting. Everything works dandy now :) btw, your patch worked after I ran as administrator as well :D THANK YOU for taking the time to make that patch!!

i have my own complie maps via tactus_A mod maps so i cant add the sky to my maps cause tactus already mod his maps , in this case we need source codes for both maps and add the skies and zooming to tactus_A maps and complie them again or share the source code for the skies and zooming options without complie them from your side
