Modcast Debut!
Feb 09, 2008 Project Valkyrie Interview 45 commentsIn our continuing effort to profile mods and the developers behind them, Mod DB presents the debut entry of the Mod DB podcast.

Welcome to Mod DB and the 6th Annual Mod of the Year Awards - the definative event that showcases the best mods and indie games in the world and recognizes the teams behind them. The MOTY is a tribute to the creativity, dedication & hard work independent developers put into creating unique gaming experiences that enable us to "play something different".
Over the coming months we will showcase to you the best mods and games in the industry. You vote for those you believe are worthy of recognition. At the top of this program sits the ultimate prize, the mod of the year award won previously by Natural Selection, Red Orchestra, PoE2 and Garry's Mod. Thanks to our sponsors, this year we have a few surprises up our sleeves not to mention a slew of prizes for the participating teams.
From Dec 1st to Jan 1st, industry professionals, developers, gamers and the general public cast their votes to decide which mods define the cutting edge of interactive entertainment and which mod teams attain gaming celebrity.

It is times like this you need a time machine, so you can see what the final votes are. :D
Hmm thats pretty easy, just show a few mins of Infinity... and you are done :D. I'll be surprised if that didn't win Unreleased.
There's also the runner's ups and stuff. But yeah, Infinity is looking mighty fine. Overall, it was a very rich MOTY, so many good stuff released or being developed.
Exciting :) So are the results going to be up tomorrow, or does the process take a few days?
From the awards page:
Phase 2 Finals

* Voters will select their 3 favorites from the Top 100
* We have a surprize for the Top 100 showcase
* 1st January voting closes
* 25th January players choice winners announced
* 26th January editors choice winners announced
So we won't know until the end of jan. That's a long way off!
Okay, so now it says Jan 29th on the front page :)
Actually we have extended this date until the 29th of Jan so we can announce the winners on the same day.
Ideally we would like to announce them straight away, but we are working on a video showcase this year which will take some time, as getting footage from tons of different games / mods is not as easy as it sounds!
Like geting one of you guys dare to play through some places in afraid of monsters DC? :D
When are the results and radio party?
how do we check the results
