About Zulu Response with 0 comments by YummyVegetables on Jun 27th, 2015

Rorkes Drift

The Battle of Rorkes Drift was the iconic battle of the 1879 war where 150 British held off around 4000 Zulu.

In both single and multiplayer you can play either as a Zulu or British.

In the following video and images we show action from a singleplayer game where the player is playing as a Zulu.

AI

Both British and Zulu players command a squad of AI. They can be ordered individually, in smaller squads or as a whole.

Video In Game Settings

The video shows a player with the difficulty set to hard, this includes :

  • if the player dies the game ends - player must therefore act with caution and instruct and use his AI on the attack
  • the player must make 10 breaches on each wall before the wall is captured. The Zulu player must capture 3 walls and then the Flag to win or kill all British and reserves

Some stills of the player and his squad of AI as they attack the British:

I have a (noob) question. I'm in the process of creating my first mod using UE3 and I'm using the game/source code that came with the retail copy of the game (er, that you can get from Epic). But then UDK comes out and I see a lot of people jumping on it.

How am i supposed to determine if I want to continue my project using UE3 code or start working within UDK?

I hope this question makes sense.

Thanks,

MrBCut

You can do pretty much the same thing with both, but it would be a standalone game with udk.

Anyone like the "Halo" series and/or storyline here? And perhaps you know a thing or two about UDK? Please contact me per note if you do.
