UDK is UE3 but better and standalone. you CANT play UT3 mods with this, you DONT need this to play UDK games. this is the editor, the tools to make games the UDK installer installs everything on auto. so dont worry.

I am sorry if this is a dumb question that has been asked before, but if you were working on an Unreal Tournament 3 Mod and you wanted to switch to UDK, could you convert everything to UDK or do you have to start over from scratch?
