It is illegal to modify the RPG Maker engine and is against the licensing agreement you accepted when you installed RPG Maker XP.

You are aware of this right?

@xilefian Actually if you Read the ToS and User Agreement, you would notice that it does not say that in fact, all games created with rmxp are royalty free and once you pay for it, you are free to modify it any way you want so long as you do not re-distribute your modified version, which is why I suspect they said in the above that they are not giving a copy out, so there is really nothing "illegal" about it, so long as they obtained there version legally and that is really the only Agreement they need to follow when making a game... by the looks you need to read there rules, in fact they actually encourage people to edit it and modify it to learn from it, which is why there rmxp is open source and editable by everyone.

Edit: on another note, nice looking game you got there :P

Yea, but if someone were to download this version without buying the original version, then technically you would violate that contract and the guy who downloaded it would get away with it. However, I'm just making sure of this, you did modify it so that even if they did download it, it wouldn't run without the original version...right?If not, then it's not really a bright idea to put this on sites where people skip the description and download it, same goes for any site actually.

yep, like it's supposed to be. This is practically taking an engine and adding a dash of selfish righteousness to it.
