I am proud to announce the beta version of Fearkill! After a long time of development I am finally able to release an almost finished version of the game.


  • Horror ambience
  • "Old school" shooter - no health regeneration, no aiming down sights etc.
  • Strategic playing is needed; you can't just walk through the map and kill everything you see as in many modern shooters
  • Many different locations
  • "Corridor" and "area" maps

Why is it still beta then?
This build was actually planned to be the final release. But my testers mentioned that the game is just too difficult. They weren't really experienced with the mouse as an aiming device but I could see their point as some design choices I've made seemed to be appropriate to me as a developer but for a user who does not know the maps and the spawns etc. they were just not suitable. So I tweaked the general balancing a bit but as I wanted to maintain the initial difficulty I decided to add a shop to the game. You will earn ingame money or points and can buy new ammo, health or an optimal route for the map. But everything of it will be optional, so you can still play without it if you seek a real challenge. The shop however will only be available in the final release so you can see this release as a "hardcore" release. It still is definitely playable but there is a challenge.

Thanks! As for the "next up", the most prevalent milestones would be further improved Android support as well as finally going Stable.

Along with that, we'll be doing a lot of cool new publicity stuff now that I'm done with my education :D

To answer your question, this engine is entirely free and open source. There's nothing stopping you from visiting right now and downloading the latest Beta release. Have fun!

Developer of 3079 here -- My game wouldn't have existed if it wasn't for this engine. This engine has done so many great things for me, and knowing it is purely Java based allows it to be completely cross-platform without any extra work. Did I mention it is free? These guys deserve tons of credit. This engine is fast and full of features. It also includes a complete Software Development Kit with terrain editors and all sorts of gizmos. Highly recommend this!
