On the 22nd of November the Doom 3 source code was released with a few changes and omissions.

Back at QuakeCon in 2009 John Carmack announced that the Doom 3 source code would be released at some point in the future. Confirmed today at two years later at the 2011 QuakeCon that the very same source code will be made available to everyone after id's next game RAGE releases later this year.

Ever since the source code for Doom 3 engine (also known as id Tech 4 engine) has been released nine months ago, the information on id Tech 4 here on ModDB says the license is commercial, rather than GPL'd. I'd believe this should be updated soon.

You're an absolute jerk. "Prey 2", "IODoom3", etc. They are all using Id Tech 4 technology/engine.
If anybody is looking for a code review check: Fabiensanglard.net there is also code reviews for quake and doom and they are pretty damn good.
Wow just compile doom 3 now does anyone know how to make and use megatexture for doom 3 so I can make outdoor singleplayer levels
Can somebody someday make a compiled version into an editor?
