So, it's been a few days already, but here I am once again, with a new, fresh update for all of you guys!

The Icelands have had a makeover. There's new trees now, I put in some props of ruined temples and civilizations etc. and I've changed a bit of the level to do away with some of the long repetitive sections. They're replaced with more platforming now. That's one thing I've been working on with this level, the other thing was the coin placement, which was fairly easy to do, but sometimes the coins were placed too close to caves, so you could enter and leave the caves again and abuse the coin system, because the coins respawn after entering the level/area again, and it's too irksome for me to change all of that, unless I take a real amount of time and Energy Drink, but... storing all those coins in memory as a data-stack or an array is kinda much for the game as well. All those variables have to be saved and loaded, and that won't only cause memory overload, but also bugs.

There's also a new weapon in Story of Alexia now: the Wonder Hammer!

The Wonder Hammer creates a lethal (but colorful and pink fluffy unicorns dancing on rainbows-like, it flashes yellow, red and cyan) shockwave that deals lethal damage to enemies on a short distance, but the drawback is that the weapon is really slow and has inertia.

The poison-shooting Youkai knight-enemy I mentioned earlier in that feature post has been added, and the inventory works as well! You can buy items now and use them too (with the 1 - 6 number keys). The red potion in the inventory is a health potion, which fully restores your health. It doesn't heal poisoning, however, cause that might make it overpowered, but I'll decide later on what works better.

Besides.. the game's working really well at the moment and it's been pretty far, almost 50% completed I'd say. The release date will probably be approximately somewhere around New Year 2015.

This is the most limiting Engine I have seen to date, it will only allow you to have 20 or less resources for each type of asset (You can only have 20 sprites, 5 rooms & 10 scripts)

I would strongly discourage anyone who would want to use this for RPGs unless your willing to pay £30

What you're describing isn't the engine. It's the demo of the engine, a free version to try it out before you buy the whole product and make more complicated games. If you think that the UI is nice and the coding is versatile and game dev flow is great but you're limited to a handful of resources then go buy the whole product (which doesn't have limit on sprite, rooms, or anything else). It's pretty cheap for what it's capable of.

If you are using Windows 8, it is a problem with a dll file for Windows - GM will crash depending on sounds being played. Only fix is to use an external sound dll to play sounds.

This should only apply to versions below GM Studio, since Studio converts internal sounds to .ogg when you play.
