It looks okay in the thumb, but check the whole image. The rocks in the mid-ground have textures that would make HL1 blush, and you can count the individual polygons on the mountain in the background.

This is a nice demo for their art department, but not so much for their graphics tech!

The rocks look great and the mountains need to be a bit lower poly because crysis is already a system hog.

I disagree :) The textures are okay and the poly thing on the mountains you are talking about is just where I would say "no one will ever see"

This is a game and not posted in a still image art contest. And when this is moving it looks awesome. Thats a proven point. Period :P

Oh you're just too picky! I do agree though, the lighting detail is kind of awkward.

Varsity speaks the truth. The foreground is pretty lackluster.

Welcome to console gaming. This is what it looks like.

You'll never get close to Crysis 1 on any console, they just can't handle it.

*Sigh.. havent we all learned by now, that console gaming will never be as good as PC gaming? But that fact aside, everyone that sees this has to admit, this looks amazing for a console......

the lack of trees on the background mountain are to me the most blaring difference between Cry1 and 2. Too bad there are so many console users that could influence technology to go backwards. I had been hoping for further leaps by Crytek.

Такой скачок развития графического движка приведет к постепенной гибели консолей, а может наоборот, к их качественному развитию.
