The first official alpha build of Zombie Colony. To install, simply extract it into the SourceMods folder of your Steam directory. It requires Half Life 2 Deathmatch AND Episode 2 to be installed.

Nice work! I'm impressed that there was no discernible lag. The map looks much nicer now.
Here are the things I found while playing:
-Beacon keys are fiddly. Why not use left click for select and right click for move/gather?
-Why not have right click with the crowbar build a barricade?
-I was unable to pick up items when I had odd amounts of things, like 13 fuel or 34 rations. Why not allow players to pick up 'part' of an object ie if I have 13 fuel and find a red barrel, let me get 7 from it but leave the barrel behind with 7 less fuel left.
-The same goes for ammo.
-When I died and picked up a shotgun, it would go invisible. Switching weapons and back would fix this.
-I found one standard HL2 half-zombie with a headcrab, possibly the result of a grenade throw.
-Pistol ammo would be collected automatically when I approached.
-It would be very useful to see how much medicine and munitions remain at camp.
-It is possible to order a survivor to gather medicine from one of the containers with your initial scrap and medicine dump. When he drops it off, it goes to your inventory.
-Being able to drop off munitions and medicine from anywhere on the map seemed odd.
-If you pick up a grenade with the crowbar out, the grenade will be auto-switched to, causing it to be immediately thrown.
-I could not pick up the .357 pistol, or the soldiers' assault rifle. The soldiers' AR also did not behave like a proper physics object (not movable by shooting it or grenades, seemed to hover above the floor.)
-The shotgun has no blood effects.
-Both the smg and pistol both have visible crossbow bolts, both while firing and also left behind stuck in terrain.
-I once ate rations then picked up a medkit, resulting in having 101 hp.
-There was no 'final wave' when closing the doors.
well, it just got to alpha so it is expected to be full of bugs. i just wish i could get it to work i down loaded it extracted it, and it even shows up on steam but i can't seem to launch it. Still the mod looks great, when i first saw this a while back i couldn't wait to get to play this and i was hoping it wouldn't die like so many great mods or take like 10 years to come out like black mesa did. congrats on making it to alpha i hope to see this mod grow and maybe one day play it....
