20 Isn't enough for some ships and the Dreadnought.
definitely is - just open the Factions.xml and change the number in the line <Space_Tactical_Unit_Cap>20</Space_Tactical_Unit_Cap> to whichever you want ;)

Some of the Vong Ship hard points aren't attached to the Ship - Miid Ro'ik Assault and Miid Ro'ik Dovin Basal.

This doesn't work for me. I get to the main menu fine, but upon clicking "Skrimish" the game crashes. I'm not tech savvy enough to mess around with the shortcut, so I'm at a loss.
