Tiberium Tale, version 0.19, new GDI defences added, Nod SAM heavy base defence added, some new aircraft, also contains some minor changes and bugfixes. Extract, cut & paste all the archive contents to your SUN (Tiberian Sun main folder) directory, click yes to overwrite old mod files. Thanks, and sorry for the size of the archive file! (It'd good to remember it's only a demo, some bugs can happen.)
Yay for defenses!
Nod still need some more heavy base defences.
this mod does not work at all for me, it always crashes as soon as i double click the exe
What does it say then? "Failed to initialize"? Or does it say there isn't a file or a file is corrupt?
You need to place the 7 files inside your SUN folder in the TS game directory!
They need to be manually installed, I'm sorry for not providing a proper automatic setup.
its weird, it doesn't work in proper First Decade installation, it says like failed to initialize thing then it says Tibsun stopped working but i put it in the TS that was freeware and it worked.
Hmmm, interesting, I tested it on both versions and it works. On what disks have you installed these versions? (C: / D:?)
C drive, but my First Decade has been patched to 1.03 using the unoffical patch
Hmmm, I haven't patched TFD.
TFD was patched at first by some additional patches, wasn't it? Since I had non-TFD TS back in 2001/2002... 2CD edition. ;-D
But it didn't have any patches, especially the TFD one and the unofficial one. BTW, the original TS .exe file is different from the TFD one. ;-/ So the latter must have been modified somehow - but the mod was tested whether it'd work with TFD & freeware versions. It did.
So it's kind of strange. I don't have the 2CD edition of TS anymore, though.
Tested:
D drive, TFD + freeware versions, w/o any unofficial patches
sounds too me that something between your free TS and the one in TFD got mixed up. would suggest that you put the free TS on another drive than the one with TFD. if you only have 1 drive than put it at least not in the same folders. may even clean your registry with ccleaner.
accidental double post :(
Do I need the other versions installed to be able to play the mod?
I don't think so. If you mean old mod files - not at all.
Just the latest one.
I can't get this mod to work. I'd click the .exe but it'd come up with a window telling me to put a Tiberian Sun disk in, even though there is a perfectly fine one already in there. Any tips? I'd love to try your mod out :(
Never mind, I downloaded the freeware version and it works fine with that.
Hmmmmmm, a strange issue. I tried it on TFD & freeware version, and it worked fine on both. O.o
I can't play it, it say I need CD. :(
Do you have any unofficial patches?
