Here is the first bug fix patch for The Elder Scrolls: Total War modification...
ATTENTION: One of the key features of the patch is the the TESTW Launcher, maded by Sengoku. Therefore, I recommend to launch the modification through the program TESTW Launcher (it is located in the Medieval 2 Kingdoms\mods\The_Elder_Scrolls. In the OPTIONS tab of this launcher, you can configure various parameters. For example, you can enable\disable ReallyBadAI, which may affect some crashes. Also, you can change the language on Select Language tab.
The patch included the latest version of Eglish Patch (v1.3) by Texafornian, Arandir Tur-Anion, DeCarn, Kajeve, Paris1234 and Punicus.
INSTALLATION:
- Put The_Elder_Scrolls from the archive into Medieval 2 Kingdoms\mods\ folder
- Run the game through TESTW Launcher in Medieval 2 Kingdoms\mods\The_Elder_Scrolls
WHAT'S NEW?
- Special Launcher. Thank you comrade Sengoku for the creation of this program.
- A new faction: Tribes of Ashlanders
- Changed the balance of some of the old factions on tactics and on the strategic map
- Fixed most of the graphical errors- Fixed most of the text errors- Fixed a recruitment system
- Added religious buildings to the Cult of Dagoth Ur, the Cult of Auri-El, and the Cult Malacath
- The opportunity to build roads and farms for Kingdoms of Skyrim and Clans of Black Marsh
- Corrected many critical crashes- Added support of AI factions, and now they will develop faster and be more active
- Changed the starting positions of some factions
- Changed garrisons
- New textures for the strategic map
- Returned the family trees system
- Silt Striders are now slainable
- Changed the balance of magicians
- And many other small fixes and improvements
WHAT'S WRONG?
- Because of the introduction of family trees, heredity done little in accordance with the Lore, so that some factions have their heirs of the "left" people
- Kingdom Skyrim in some cities is still impossible to build roads and farms (such as Whiterun)
- It is still possible critical crashes- Balance of magicians still not worked out
- Unique tactical architecture has not lost its bugs- There are small graphics bugs
- It is still not possible to implement the voice
- Ashlanders can change the icon on the strategic map
Well done guys! And really really big thanks for patch and also this great mod. I'm wondering if in future, you would make some ebony, glass warriors for Almeri? And if generals for the faction would get new looks would be wonderful too. Also what about female soldiers? I will be patient, I know you are working hard on this, but just want to inquire.

Installing it. You need 1.0 to work but if you download the .rar file and then open it up and there should be a file called The_Elder_Scrolls, which you then go to your M2TW folder which should contain another folder called mods
(Steam: C:/Program Files x86/Steam/apps/common/M2TW/Mods)
(Normal Install: C:/Program Files x86/Sega/M2TW/Mods)
Drag n' drop all the files there and dont worry about overwriting data when installing the patch, thats what it does

I cant open the game i start but before starting to load the entry scean it crashes pls help me

My game now loads the mod but crashes when i start the compaign and custom battle... I will be very happy if someone knows how to fix it. :))

Are you using the base shortcut?
If so, go to the mods folder and to the TES TW folder, and make a shortcut for the EXE contained, place it on your desktop, and your good to go

It crashes for me when i play with the Empire of Tamriel, around 54th turn. Just says the Argonians start running back into their marshes and it starts, until then it is perfect normal.
Continue to download this file, it is a patch for version 1.0 , which was reuploaded by the administration.
In the future it would be pretty awesome if you could create more diversity within the ranks of the Crowns and Forebearers, maybe have Hammerfell divided into city states

Err, there is no exe or shortcut, the TESTW is an Icon.. How do i launch the mod?

Ah, looks like a fixed it for myself, just had to apply the 1.2 patch and it was all good.
It says i need to install it in a folder with M2TW, I just dropped the patch and 1.0 file (The_Elder_Scrolls) in my mods folder.... what did i do wrong

any reason why every time i choose a campaign the game crashes and i get an error message saying something like the game has encountered an unspecified error?
Only one reason: you do something incorrectly installed.
So I'm guessing I should reinstall medieval 2 again then copy testw into the mods folder then paste the patch into that same folder replacing whichever files need replacing?
No, you should not reinstall the game. Really: I don't know, why is your mod crashing... Maybe, you have steam-version? But our mod is configured for steam. Try this: delete you "americas" folder in mods and rename our mod from "The_Elder_Scrolls" to "americas". After that open The_Elder_Scrolls.cfg and The_Elder_Scrolls. bat and change all messages "mods\The_Elder_Scrolls" to "mods\americas"
Anytime I try to save the .cfg and .bat it says access is denied?
Hello so I installed the mod and the patch but when i click on the TESTW Launcher the launcher menue will come up, but when i click start it says please input TESTW Launcher.exe to the mod Directory. Please help me fix ths
What is your launcher folder exactly? Try to launch the mod with The_Elder_Scrolls.bat
I have the Launcher place in several folders. In The_Elder_Scrolls folder, the M2TW Mods folder, the British_isles folder (the campaign im using for this mod) and others. It runs fine without the launcher, byt none of the v1.2 features are in it. Which file should I put the Launcher in?

Try two solutions:
1) Istall patch 1.2 into british_isles (drag "data" folder from the archive)
Or:
2) Reinstall TES:TW 1.0 but don't drag it into british_isles, use its own folder. When install parch 1.2
Anyway, try to start the mod with launcher and with bat.
I think, if you haven't patch 1.2 features, it means that you installed it wrong. May be, you put 1.0 and 1.2 into different folders.
Excuse my stupidity, but I am new to mods... What is a "bat" file? Whenever I scroll over all my files none of them have .bat behind them. Also 1.0 and 1.2 are in the same folder.
Actually, never mind the Launcher not working could you help me with another problem i'm having? I am on turn 33 in my Telvanni Campaign and every time I end turn it says "M2TW has encountered an unspecified error and will now close." It starts up fine, but always crashes when I end turn. Please Help!
Mod crashes upon startup. Message error box is blank. I installed the 1.0 file to the mods folder, then I installed the 1.2 patch and over written all the files.
As soon as I open the bat file to start the game up, screen looks like it's about to start loading the game, then gives me a blank error box.
Why the hell is is this crashing?
same thing happened to me and i somehow fixed it by messing around with it but now when i play the game HUGE chunks of text are missing and the rest is in russian

ok i fixed the startup problem somehow .. i don't even know, but now when the game starts it's missing huge chunks of texts and the few texts that exists are in RUSSIAN. How do i fix this?
