the mod crashes to desktop at startup with no error, fix?
This is a very old mod.
How it works in steem and other console platforms...can not help you there.
Works only in the original custume game.
I am afraid Zethass is correct.
I have had my copy of HL before Steam existed. 2001 to be precise.
Seems a shame not to be able to get it to run.
Old though it may be, a lot of work still went into it.
I know. When I downloaded it for the Steam version though, there is an upside and a downside. The upside is that it still works perfectly. The downside is that the options doesn't seem to show the in-game configuration. To make matters worse, I'm not able to move in-game. I ALSO edited the config.cfg file but to no avail.
Ok I tried playing this without Steam and it's still not working :(
Found out a feed:
Try to replace cl_dlls & dlls with Half-Life\valve\ cl_dlls & dlls.
Can not guarantee that it will work
But some sources said that it will. Odd then, but to me it works as it is.
