Description

We had a lot of reports yesterday about things not spawning as intended on your homeworld when you had the TFF module active. This one really had us scratching our heads! After hours of staring at the files, our hero Ambarenya finally found the issue. Nestled deep within the Galaxyscenariodef was one....yes one missing world. At line 3666 of a 10,875 line file a single word was missing. That word was Home. The file read: orbitBodyType typeName "TerranHome" entityDefName "PlanetTerranHome" defaultTemplateName "Template:DefaultStart_Terran" It should have read: orbitBodyType typeName "TerranHome" entityDefName "PlanetTerranHome" defaultTemplateName "Template:DefaultStart_TerranHome" This miniscule download fixes the issue. We might be in beta at the minute, but it's such a big issue (some might say gamebreaking as it takes away a core element of STA3 gameplay) that we needed to patch it immediately.

I tore some hair out. Code languages are not very user friendly. At least not for me. English is hard enough!

I hated it too.

I did some coding in X3 and X3 Terran Conflict but that language was something special. And the game was special too.

Hallo Leute.

Gul, this guy is german and i am too. Seems like he thinks he can change the "era" in which he is playing ( guess like in star trek continuum) . I told him there is only one era, namely ds9.

I remember when I did some very basic coding in school. I know all too well how one tiny little oversight can completely **** up the program when you try to run it.

Not a coder myself but I can imagine the lines upon lines to look through and figure what is either out of place, or out right missing.. which I have to ask what is worse : trying to find something missing, something mistyped, or something wrote in the wrong place? (if that matters? I think it does considering how we have to do enable mode files.)
Anyways thanks for the fix, gonna load it up and try it myself, if see anything else is outa place will try to give a report , other then that great release so far, and don't feel to bad about any bugs or issues that have or do pop up, its kinda what a beta release is for outside giving a taste of what is to come .

It's been a really good experience for us so far. we're getting a lot of really decent reports about the minor string/iconography issues we've missed or have forgotten about chiefly. Nothing game breaking aside from the hero station issue, so all in all I'm satisfied that we've done a relatively good job :D

guys, no matter how many times I try to download this or use a different mirror as suggested it just will not give me the option to download the patch.
Any suggestions?

hey gul ducat, is this the fix for the command structure that gives you the heros in your tech tree? I see that there are no ship yards and command structure when you start off your game in quick mode.

i wonder, what's the deal with the neutral ships?

pretty much every single match i play after i capture my 2nd or 3rd planet suddenly i get attacked by either a huge neutral federation fleet or a neutral dreadnought, it's extremely frustrating to get destroyed by something that isnt part of the enemy factions before you even have time to build anything up, is there an option to turn this **** off?
