Description
Numbness and rage. Fright and anger. I open my eyes. Oh, well. My cell is pitch dark anyhow. "Block E1". I heard their inhuman voices. Lying on this cold metal bed, I stretch my arms along my sides. This must be the right posture to fit in a pod. I do not tolerate the idea of not being ready. Yes, but ready for what? No, I won't give way to grief. A squeaky sound... No, no way. It can't be true. The door opens, light replaces darkness. I will ask for a reason later. Now I have a choice to take. An easy one. I will run the hell out of here, whatever it takes. It's time to get a little revenge. It's time to start my own riot act.

BugMe_Not, thanks. That makes sense, as I don't have Steam installed in that location. What if I make a shortcut of the Steam folder and put it where the installer expects it to be?
won't work. steam has an awesome protection system AND you need half life 2. If you have half life 2 without steam then its a pirated version

you didnt install steam as an administrator
In my case it was missed registry entry:
HKLM\Software\Valve\Steam\InstallPath
It must be a a string pointed to Steam installation directory, like
c:\games\valve\steam
You can't bypass the .exe, I can't even winzip it.
They need to make a path choosy thingy with the .exe, or send it as a zipped directory file, because this thing isn't reading my external.
I am new to this. I want to download the riot act mod. What do I do? I have a steam account. Do I click mod DB#1 or filefront??
Wobbley, if you have a Moddb account, and y wouldn't you. Then you download though DB#1, else create an account or download through Filefront.
dispite the obvious repition I loved this mod even because of it I enjoyed it.keep up the good work half-life 2 is an amazing,and long may it continue.please accept my compliments dave,the painter.

Who says chicks can't be heroes? I'm pretty sure I saw female Resistance members. If you can't grasp the fact that your playing as a chick and not a boy then you need to get the virginity out of you.
I've seen in films that a women is a hero in it like Ripley from alien, Tomb Raider, Resident evil

Omer 123, i dont have hl2 and it worked 4 me!! graphics are awesome, at the beggining you can use the NOCLIP cheat to get the smg. who would think, a kid having a gun.It's the end of the world!!!!!
I stand corrected, hes an adult + you don't HAVE to use noclip to get the smg..... :D :)

Will it work if you dont have half life 2? Sorry if im sounding stupid or wasting time >.< xD
@GordonFreeman- I'm not sure if this game specifically requires Half Life 2 or just SDK. If it runs on SDK, then as long as you have something like Counter-Strike Source, TF2, or any other Source game, you should be good.
