1. Extract files into your CoD4 directory
- Files should be placed as:
CoD4/main/Afganistan.IWD
CoD4/main/video/Afganistan.BIK
COD4/zone/english/Afganistan.FF2. Start Call of Duty 4: Single Player3. Open game console ` ( above TAB key ) and type "map Afganistan"
3а. If the console does not appear then you will need to enable it, once you start the game go to "Options" then "Game Options" click "Enable console" and you are ready4. Play the game.5. Report any bugs you encounter at the MoDB page:

- Do any of the new weapons have missing textures, I believe I added all textures but something is missing please let me know.
- Even tho the map is made in english it should be able to support German subtitles, so if are using the German version of the game please tell me if you see subtitles in German.

Lol, just lol.
There are some things that could be improved
1.) I noticed the soldiers calling the Arabs "Jerries" a lot
2.) The beginning Jeep ride was way too slow, it got boring and I don't know why it suddenly stopped.
3.) When you have to defend the blockade against the Arabs, they are too easily cut down. Perhaps adding more debris/smoke will make it harder since I was able to shoot them as soon as they spawned.

Apart the untextured new weapon, I've noted a smaller bug: if you drop a weapon and then you pick it up again, this will lose a part of its ammunition. May you fix it?

- The amoo loosing is due to the experimental Semi-Auto/Full-Auto moddes, Ill try to fix it by making weapon modes change by script instead of the current one and will post if I haev made a breakthrough.
What version of COD4?
preferebly 1.7, should work whit all others but iwd may not work properly.
Nice, I tried it but it was very short. I know, it's a DEMO. 1 recommendation from me - in the full version put many objects in the mission. So it won't be empty. Good luck!
uhh I got some problems from loading the map...(poor english sorry)
1)wrong spelling of the "zone" .ff2 file ,this made my game crashed for sereval times until I found out the reason
2)maybe this is only for me,after it loads , it appears a message:couldn't locate the bsp file for this map blah blah blah, and then it goes back to the main menu itself
any ideas for these bugs?
rename the *.ff2 file to simply *.FF , ff2 isnt a suported format for the game.

well I just get it worked and played it all once
1)all add-on weapons are missing textures
2)the Map needs a bit of smoothing
3)the whole map looks empty on this demo
4)Minefield....it spent me an hour to get though it
5)ammo bug , when I pickup another weapon the previous weapon's ammo will be divided by 2
6)a long boring jeep ride.....
these are few things can be do better, thanks for the demo and good luck on the whole mission mod, I will be tracking this.

Nice mod, but I can't find where to fix the textures and getting across the mine field is impossible.
Try extracting te IWD that comes with the mod (winrar works), what version o the game do you use ( it seems most people with 1.7 version dont have any problems )?
I have 1.7 and I've already done that.

um i downloaded the demo and put the Afganistan.IWD, Afganistan.BIK, Afganistan.FF in right folders and when i start cod and click the console button and type in map afganistan i cant find it, help plz
Double check file locations, also check for spelling errors when you tipe 'map afganistan'.
The only things I see wrong is the M1 Garand's bayonette is un-textured, as are it's rounds when you re-load, the Magnum revolver ejects shells when it shoots, the double-barrel shotgun has horrible pellet count (seems like just 2), the carride is way too long and boring, and the minefield is a big pain in the butt.
Otherwise it's great so far.
