How do I download COF mods? there is no directory. Do I have to cut/paste everything into COF?
First of all,
When you open the Nostalgia 1.09 .rar, you'll see the Nostalgia 1.09 folder, open it, you'll see folders like aurora, gfx, inventoryitems, models.
Extract THOSE folders to here.
"C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Cry Of Fear\cryoffear"
Or where ever you installed your Cry of Fear folder into.
Is it just those folders that you have to extract into
"C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Cry Of Fear\cryoffear"?
Yeah, when you're asked to overwrite, click OK.
The only thing overwritten is just the folders, none of the content inside is altered so, no worries.
how do I start the probram?
How do I play it? it won't show up on the custom campaign menu.
A bit short lol, finished it in an hour! But nontheless, it was playable.

what does that file 'harder institude' do??
Simple, the map inside made Chapter : >) ridiculously hard.
First trap according to a lot of people is freakin' nuts, pretty much why i replaced the old map with a modified one.
Is this really only singleplayer or is it also playable in co-op/MP mode?
The main campaign is Singleplayer, but, there's 2 coop maps which is the Mob Ambush and Jaffar's World maps that you can try.

it wont come out as a file, it comes out opening with a media player or notepad
It's in 7-Zip archive format. Download 7-Zip, of find yourself another better archiving program, if yours can't handle this.
