I have mm7 throug gog games. the maestro mod works. I want to install the meteor shower patch. but it wont load. the reason is that it is zipped and can only be read by a dosbox possibly. I have xp. How do I get this thing to load manually? I probably have to do it through dosbox. I have 7zip. It unzips easily. but the code is not compatible with the new gog.games changes to file...?

Do you have any problems with Meteor Shower in your current mod version? Sorry for the late answer, Mod DB does not send the notifications.

Meteor shower works in most circumstances. the problems occur in the "Barrow Downs" area of mm7. If you use meteor shower there, you will get crashes. I do. it gets worst when I have the quest to clean up barrows down quest for the dwarves (..." in one week..."). That is the scenario for the crashes.

Try replacing your sound file with this one: Dropbox.com

Go to the game directory, open the Sounds folder and replace the SND file with the one I send you.

When I run this patch, I get:

"Exception EOSError in module LodMerge.exe at 00015B54. System Error. Code: 2."

I'd like to download the new SND file but the Dropbox link above is dead. Could you reupload it?

The mod is otherwise working well.

Perhaps the problem is the same as with the new_class.exe patch. I was unable to run it as I'm on a 64-bit OS. As you uploaded the prepatched files to remedy the class problem, hosting the prepatched sound file is probably worthwhile as well.

I figured it out. This patch needs to be run from inside the SOUNDS directory. The patch lacks reference to relative paths and assumes the target is in the same directory. I figured the patch should be run from the root installation directory as I read nothing that stated otherwise. A readme file would be a good idea for this patch ;)
