Hi

Let you know that the game works on 1440 by 900 60hz mode also.

The problem was the replicator clan is not working I played with all other clans it is working but replicator clan it is not working mean after auto save 5 or 6 it will crash without any input it crash with error message. All other clans working well.

Replictor clan is very interesting to play but I cannot play with them the game crashes cannot play after one hour like. Other than that game is very interesting and joy to play thanks for this mod and given as free tp play. If you have any webpage for donation to this mod please tell me I like to fund these great mod making. Very interesting to play

The replicator are fine. I play with them all the time.
Just turn the graphics effects down a little ...

yes I have been having that same problem, we are unable to rejoin the hosts game if we had to save and leave or crashed or something.

we have also tried having someone else host from one of their saves or an auto save and it still gives the same "galaxy file differs from host" issue whenever anyone else tries to join our game.

would be great to know why or a way to keep this from happening

Amazing mod though...me and my friends have been loving this mod except for the save problem cause usually we cant finish a game in one go so if we cant save we will have to give up this mod :(

I have a suspicion it is a problem with Rebellion (desync) ... I have been investigating the issue and will be starting my own tests this week.

One chap has mentioned that if he send the save file from the host then he can continue ... mind you another says the opposite.

If there is any other info you can give me, which you think might help, would be appreciated. Number of players (and AI's), map size, what stage in the game problems start happening, graphics effects settings, whether players are having problems in Single Player games, etc

I played single player actually to check that out...0 issues

and I have played several times trying to find a solution the last few days from playing with only human players or with a lot or a small number of AIs in multiplayer same issue everytime

however the only maps we ever play on are large so idk if that could be affecting it or not...will probably try it though

if you find a solution let me knoooooow

Thanks for the feedback.

I will be setting up MP on two PC's on my home network to see if I can reproduce the problem. This is something I have not done before (for O,E,D) ... as I have not had this problem.

I'll let you know if I find the problem

ok...and I have found it only happens past a certain point...get about an hour in and than save and try to reload it...the host can but noone else can join

once we were like 15 mins in and my friend was able to rejoin after a crash

I have been testing the MP "GalaxyScenarioDef file differs" problem - with 2 human players on Random huge maps with various (8) AI players.

This is what I found
1. I can consistently reproduce the problem (within 15-30 minutes of play time)
2. The GalaxyScenarioDef files do not differ
3. The saved files differ (whether autosave or manual save)
4. I can consistently rejoin games if I send the hosts saved file to the other player

Conclusion
1. For MP ICO there is a network timing/synchronization issue with Rebellion
2. What exacerbates this problem for Maelstrom is unclear - possibly the size of the mod, such as having 3 additional players

by the way I was wondering

why is it that there are virtually no weapons upgrades for all of the factions...I mean there are one or two smaller ones but other than I dont think theres really any.

im assuming there is some kind of reason but just wondering

You are referring to the Norlamins, who are a peaceful race and have very strong culture (with additional benefits). The Reps and TA have several weapons upgrades.

Dropbox.com or some thing similar.
Also you might be able to email it ...

Of course I am still investigating the problem to see if there is a workaround ...so you don't need to send the saved MP files

and thanks for taking the time to find out what was wrong...this is a really great mod(idk if its just me by the way but I tend to have better luck with it not crashing on lower graphic settings but meh) probably the best mod ive played yet and with least amount of lag...crazy lags disgustingly...enhanced 4X is nice but still not all that great...this mod is delicious lol, and as far as I have seen pretty balanced...some of the ship shapes are odd...like the ***** titan...looks fine though lol and makes the game much more interesting

waiting for sins of the prophets to come out for rebellion...looks great but I think I will still prefer this mod a lot because all 3 of the factions are really interesting...

oh and what you did with the pirates...they expand cap ships etc... fricking perfect :D

one thing and probly the only thing I would say I hate about this mod...the egg head in the loading screen in the skin tight suit...and the creepy alien animation one of the factions gets in a high pitched voice XD

another thing...never change the intro song ;-;

No intentions of changing it ... you might like to download the "Maelstrom Sound Expansion Pack" which you can find here. It has many alternative music and voice overs.

The dreadnought spawning can be stopped from the dreadnought coordinator structure

All the mod versions are independent. Just download R5 to play Maelstrom for Rebellion.

For those that are interested I found the problem behind MP save files ... "your galaxy scenario file differs from the hosts"

The solution is to delete all the DebrisXXX.mesh files in the Maelstrom mod "Mesh" folder (41 in total).

There is a small and esoteric bug in the Rebellion save game function. The problem is Rebellion saves the complete local file name for the Debris meshes (in the save file) and seeing that the complete local file name is unique for each user then the save game checksum will be unique for each user. This checksum is used in MP saved games to validate saved files across the players saved files and must be the same as the hosts.

yes i do that, i wrote it wrong up whatever, i mean i want play them with colors, dunno why i love this colors hah...i can turn off team colors and my own colors... i try them both and understand me i want my ships with colors and my Titan without hole in color... if you know different way ty

Then there is something wrong with your version of Rebellion. If this was a problem with R4 I would have noticed it under testing and so would others.

You can check the integrity of Sin Rebellion on your computer ... in Steam right clicking on the game, go to properties and select validate. It checks your Sins program files with the version on steam and downloads any files that are missing or corrupt.

Loving the races, had an issues with crashes about 15 minutes in before I changed the settings and didn't get to test it on the ones you say to use, any chance of this mod working with say the sins of the fallen moon mod? Also is this the expansion or standard and if it isn't expansion any chance that will be making it's way onto reb? Excellent work on everything :)

I think you should see if the guy who made SOTF will let you use his moon mod, or make one yourself haha I just think that was the one thing your mod needed, everything else is just sick :) really enjoyed the stuff you have made :)

humm was woundering if this mod made mines not take up so much CPU power ? in the E4X mod they actually came up with a very good idea to prevent that from happening : mines have auto cast ability when enemies are near

(and they dont explode on contact visually speaking , and instead 1 mine on the map equal to at least 10 old mines , and everytime the mine uses it ability it loses its hull points)

Hi whitewolfmxc,
Can you confirm if you are experiencing lagging because of the mines?

In the Trinity versions I reduced the mines by 1/3 and increased their power by 3, which I found did the trick ... and which I have not consistently done for the Rebellion version.

PS: also the building a Embassy building system for envoy ships with the E4X mod is pretty neat as you dont need to constantly baby sit envoys or build ridiculous amount of them

the E4X mod method on this is very through though , basically 1 mine (equal to 10 mines in terms of how many you can buy in the vanilla game) control an area (with range effect) ,

and everytime an enemy comes close enough the area it will trigger the auto cast ability (and cause area damage) , and everytime it does that it eats antimetre (and has recharge time) and reduces hull point of the mine (so eventually that mine will "die off" if used enough , then you need to replace it)
