Description
Translates S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Last Day into English.
To install Last Day, download and install these in order:
- Last Day – main files, version 1.3
- Last Day – update (2018-03-14)
- Last Day – translation files, on this page
The mod runs standalone, meaning no pre-existing installation of Call of Chernobyl or Call of Misery is required.
That's it. Good hunting, stalker!
Feedback and help with the translation is appreciated, as it is not yet complete.

The first version with the main author of the translation back in development, this version attempts to address numerous glaring and minor errors alike, as well as include various changes and updates to the file structure, some of which come from an upcoming version of Call of Chernobyl itself.
The version number has been changed to 0.11.0 due to the still incomplete status of the translation, which will once again be restored to version 1.0 once everything is complete. Nonetheless, the old version 1.0.1 is still up for download on GitHub.
Almost every file has been changed in one way or another, and any content not related to the actual translation has been removed; such content should either have been sent to the official developers of Last Day—not being present in the English translation only—or included in TRX: Fixes ’n’ Tweaks.
As such, any file not listed in the changelog is likely to have a few undocumented changes of minor significance: typo fixes, improved formatting, improved translations, etc. An attempt to move to British English is also being made, in accordance to its usage in Call of Chernobyl itself.

Such as?
Standard equipment like knife, 9x18 ammo have only their placeholder names e.g std_knife_6x4, ammo-19x18-fmj_bad.
In the Dead city talking to the Merc trader on the 2nd floor only 2 options are in English and 1 is a placeholder name: Imgur.com

I confused the translation file for base Call of Misery with the Call of Misery Last Day translation file. I must have followed the link from the CoM page notes, not the CoM LD page...

There are lots of updates, do I just drag and drop the gamedata folder like usual? Im replacing the files, its not going to erase some setting for something like 'no weapon zoom' mod or anything? Basically should I just keep patching the translation to gamedata or do I have to re-install anything/restart game
Usually best to reinstall any addons you've got, or better yet use JSGME: Moddb.com
For the weapon zoom mod, it won't change anything, so in that particular case it's fine.

Mod's been perfectly playable apart from that, and a few other probably engine based issues.

Hey, installing the patch then going in game and switching the graphics settings and relaunching undoes the english patch for the game.
Seconded. Always resets upon relaunching the game, even with localization set to English.
Same issue here.
If anyone is having a similar issue, it happens because file localization.ltx is overwritten whenever you save changes to settings. Make sure to edit it back after changing them(it should say "language = eng" at the third line)
what is the cpu 1 core for?
These "windows command scripts" for different CPU cores. What do I do with those?
You run one of the files to launch the game, depending on how many CPU cores you have.
OK ..so
1. Copy to main folder with Stalker.exe
2. Double click - Run
It asked for some permissions ... Ran the game ... Alright ... not really sure what I just agreed to ... or how this is different from just using the gamadata you provided but ... you da boss. Done! ... Thanks again :)
