German Logistics by dlcatalin MOW:AS version by Mopar ( MOW:AS ver 2.05.15 Required ) Thanks to dlcatalin for this great map and mission for MOW. Thanks to DMS / 1C for a great series of moddable WW2 RTS games.. Thanks to T92903 for semi transparent hud mod. Thanks to bassmaniac for some custom weapon and vehicle sounds. Hints & Tips: - Save your game often to avoid defeat & reduce game play speed if needed... - Extra infantry ammo and tank ammo in supply trucks ( defensive units reinforcement ) - Extra infantry ammo in half tracks reinforcement.. - Mission will end when you kill the German officer listed in your objectives. - Prisoners can now be rescued.. - Ju52 transport plane now lands on beach instead of flying around. New version file name should be: German_Logistics_12jan2014.7z

Pretty much all the community made maps are really static there may be reforcements but there dum they often just run to an objective and get slaughted. you play the maps made by the developers and suddenly the AI pretty bloody clever. because there scripted but it so seemless you think they where reacting to your tatics you look in the mission files in the editor and there a script.
Is it possible to do the same thing for community maps.
I was thinking we could imitate it buy using zones and move to cover orders, and using zones to set off different behaviour, like if you move a tank up right on top of dug in infantry the infantry will retreat so as to not get slaughtered, when they are killed/ and position taken counter attack triggered,i don't think you get the intelligence the Dev's have some how given the AI but it could imitate it, even though it pre-determinded it still would not really matter. some may think it will not matter because AS 2 is coming out and they may fix the AI so you don't have to do any scripting but I really don't trust them to do AI that going to work on community made maps there going to script the ai to work on there own maps.

I don't really know who to ask, is it possible to do?

It's possible to do anything with scripts but I think it's a lot of work do do something as you want (for every zone, different reaction of AI)..
For example: Youtube.com

I'm not sure you will see something really new with AI in MowAS2: You will see just some reworked units and a little graphical lifting (labels/ icons), but as i'm still a fan of the serie, i've already pre-order it..

Awesome mission Mopar. I've encountered only one issue. Enemy reinforcements get stuck on the edge of the map when they arrive.

The stealth elements are minimal Winsberg, in fact you don't have to be stealthy it just helps the player in the first 5 mins of gameplay or until you get the portable radio to call reinforcements..

thanks for the feedback Brikkfist, i'll have a look.

Lots of enemy arty and mortars means patience and tactical planning are your best weapons and save often...

From my testing i would say this mission is about 3 to 4 hours completion time, so good for those who like a long battle with access to almost all vehicles in the MOW:AS german WW2 inventory... ( some vehicle from MOW are there also, Karl Mortar and sdfz251/10 & T29 + Tortez )

Tell me Mopar, are you working on any new missions? I remember your comment from several weeks ago when you mentioned that you will release several new maps that were finished but unreleased, and also several updated existing maps. (if my memory serves me right)
I really like your missions, I hope to see more of them soon. :)

Hello, I played it now and i like it, ye the normal stuff at the beginning is fine and it was cool with the radio but i dislike alot of stuff..first of all i want to say that the map itself + terrain is superb and the unit placing + all vehicles and such are avaible and you gain money kinda fast and its also fun to crash into stuff with the plane :D but the bad thing is for example that if i call in infantry its kinda expensive and also..my rifle guy only gets 15-20 bullets...the ammo for the infantry is a damn joke, If i pay so much for them i want them to have a good equipment at least + the AT guy dont even have a secondary weapon and you also cant call in ammo-trucks

great work mopar, but sadly i found an issue on ur great mod
sherman Tank that i already fix after kill the crew cant reload amunition after first shoot,
so please tell me which part on ur mod that i can moddify to make this annoying problem fix
NB : my style to play this game is take averything u can get on the battle field LOL

Brikkfist, Good work spotting that problem... How did you find it ? I assume you played in editor with FOG off to see they were getting stuck on map edge....

As it turns out the original MOW version was the same.... I am working on a fixed version now.... Expect a new version soon...

Can't seem to release the prisoners though. I've killed everything around there. Taken my original paratrooper there. Taken other units. Knocked down the walls and fence. Tried raising the flags (both of which stayed US BTW). Still no luck.

What am I missing?

Hi Guys,

Problem with prisoners was a bad trigger....

I am working on a fixed version and will upload as soon as i'm finished.

I also added more ammo & fuel and made the ju52 land on the beach...

You might also want to have a look at the enemy tanks incoming from the far edge of the map. I killed everything else on the map and was left with 4 enemy tanks and and a truck stuck just beyond the map edge there. I could see them but not fire on them. I think they are what stopped me from ending the map.

Hi guys,

If anyone has problems with 1 particular m114 155mm howitzer let me know, It has the range to shell the area where your reinforcements arrive and can be quite devastating and frustrating...

Please let me know if anyone has this problem and i can fix it....

it took me three day to just reach the enemy fort and take the small island. bro there is this giltch that when i clear the road for infantry and tanks it wont show me the support menu. and i am left with only ten soldiers to fight now
