Great mod,historically remembers me of Close Combat 3/4 :))

I found some minor bugs.

The sherman m4 105mm has no turret, a ranger squad with 10 bazookas ??!!, an american engineer squad with a flame ...but without the flame thrower :)
In generally too many recoilless rifle or/and bazookas for some american or british teams.
Too much of that for my realistic taste.

All in all, as I said, a great mod.

turret bug is know already and the infantry squad system will be reworked completely so I can't say what will happen exactly to the anti-armor squads but it's very likely they will be changed in some aspects.

Btw please post your thoughts and found bugs on the front page of this mod since otherwise your posts will easily get lost among these comments especially if you post them in somehwere between as an answer to a very old comment.

Don't copy the first section in " marks, just the - dev mode bit, and make sure the " is on the end ;) hope that works but if it doesn't, make sure it's in the right place; ie program file (x86) not program files :)

Hi guys

Sorry to do this to you but I installed it but no shortcut is created. I realize you have to create your own, but continue to have trouble doing so. The target line which the readme tells me to input doesn't work. I click on the shortcut, but nothing happens.

Please help. I'm going mad. It took me so long to download N44.

It's a real photo staged during training in 1939. It's been colorized, but was not originally taken with a technicolor camera.

Since Authentic WWII color photos are extremely rare.... (fyi)

I downloaded both versions and this version twice and installed it and there nothing to click to play but in the folder theres just icons not shortcuts

If it is a custom map with SCAR coding, you may get that problem (as we have very little vanilla code left in, and SCAR code is usually written for vanilla units).

The other, and more likely issue, is your graphics settings. You can look around here everywhere from the guide to tutorial to some posts, but bottom line is you will more than likely have to lower your graphics settings some depending on your computers specs. So, say you have the settings on Ultra and your rig can't handle that for the mod (and the mod requires a lot more than vanilla or any other mod as far as memory), it may not even get past the map loading screen.

For all those wondering, this was the price that had to be paid to add all the things we added (check out the images section just to get an idea of how many infantry skins we added - and there are even more vehicle skins added i.e. about 10 Pz IV's). It was actually put to a vote to the community, and the community unamimously voted to add more things at the expense of performance.

It can be played on all systems, and on some even on all maxed settings - it just depends on your rig :)

Thanks, I lowered my graphics settings and I'm able to play the mod now.I put some settings in low and others on medium and this worked perfectly.

You may have to create your own.

Goto the tutorials section and check out the section about creating a shortcut.

AxisWarMachine also did a quick tutorial a few posts up.

Either or - it works for both (not campaign compatible either way)

Try looking at our directions in the tutorial. It's basically just copying your regular CoH shortcut, and adding a couple things to the end of the new copied shortcut target line in properties.

6) Right click on your CoH Shortcut, and choose "create shortcut"

7) Right click on the new shortcut and select "properties" - set the target line to read as the following:"C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\RelicCOH.exe" -dev -mod EuropeanTheater1944"

8) Rename the new shortcut whatever you'd like

9) Click on "Change Icon" inside properties, and "browse" to find the icon included in the mod folder - choose the N44 icon included in the main folder..

If your vanilla CoH target line reads different (as mine does using Win7) just make sure you add the stuff after the 2nd "

The key to our shortcut (and all mods) is adding the stuff after what is there normally. That is how the new shortcut knows to load the mod

I did that and the game dont start!!!!!!!!!! i got the steam version.

ok I have steam and when i put it in and click on it it opens up the internet? this is what I put in the shortcut http://"c:/Program Files (x86)/steam/steamapps/common/Company of Heroes/RelicCOH.exe" -dev -mod EuropeanTheater1944"

Do you have windows 7 or XP/Vista?

Win 7 has a different command line.

Other than that is could be one of several things, but basically that command line has to read exactly like your vanilla CoH with the mod additions after the second " in the vanilla target line

The mod lines are

-dev -mod EuropeanTheater1944

With a space after the second " and the -

your issue would most likely be a corrupted file, try downloading the file with a download manager. (i use megaupload)
