A complete rebuild of the 2007 Unreal Tournament Deathmatch map DM-Jaturungkabart; one of the few Far East themed maps in existence from the mapper who brought you DM-Deck420][.
This is a revamp of DM-Jaturungkabart I released in 2007. I was out at sea on deployment with the US Navy when the mapping bug bit me once again. I had to buy a UT Anthology edition, wait 3 weeks for it to ship to the middle of the ocean, and install it with mostly stock textures. The only custom content I had were my own maps on an external hard drive, so I made this map using textures from DM-Deck420][. (I had to keep UnrealEd open on my laptop for over a week so I wouldn't lose the textures...I'm lazy like that) I originally wanted to revamp this map for UT2004, but I could never wrap my brain around UED3, so I put those ideas to work on UT99 and 2 weeks later, out came this masterpiece; probably my last map ever for Unreal Tournament.
So yeah Jaturungkabart is supposed to be a sealed off section of city/town in a futuristic far east themed alien planet. I named it after the Tony Jaa movie Tom Yum Goong (AKA The Protector). The town is given life by the Lung Hai river that flows through its heart (and somehow under it too!) and nourishes the healing fruits that grow all over the place, but sometimes the town must be cleansed by BLOOOOD and that's where the tournament comes into play!
I included an Autumn version, but the cool trees sometimes make my computer stutter a little bit, so I included a regular foliage version for lag-free play.
ENJOY and thanks for all the critiques, downloads and frags throughout the years!!!!!!!
