Just an update for anyone reading this before download.
1 - If you forget to deactivate the mod through FLMM before uninstalling it, then you'll have to manually go in and delete FLMM entries in the registry before you can redo it. This is a highly advanced task and it is recommended to ask a tech-saavy person to help you with this.
2 - This mod may have higher system requirements than the Vanilla/Standard/Original FreeLancer installation. You should make sure that the game runs perfectly without any mods before attempting to use this mod.
3 - Make a complete backup of your FL install folder BEFORE doing anything. It saves a ton of hassle with doing uninstalls/reinstalls later on.
4 - Install the mod from this download but make sure to BLOCK the mod from connecting to multiplayer. There is an issue with the latest launcher patch that breaks it on many computers. My recommendation is again to prevent it from auto-updating (by blocking it from any inbound or outbound connections through your firewall). Then you want to make a full backup of the game folder and then attempt the update. If it breaks, then at least you can just copy/paste the backup and still play single player mode.
5 - This is one of the only mods with a complete extended single player campaign after the main storyline.
6 - Enjoy yourself and remember the mod is recommended for advanced players who had no problem beating the main vanilla storyline :)

Just one question, are widescreen resolutions supported now like they were claimed to be?
We could not fully test that. Widescreen has been considered - but we are not aware if its working for everyone like it should be.

perhaps youd best put a note somewhere in the download link? so that we can reset our installations in the 3/4 hours it downloads for (espeically if you have slow internet like me :( )

I always keep a clean backup Freelancer Folder in case I deactivate this mod fated to lead to a fixed consequence that my folder is spoiled as you have a dynamic system. So it's a better way to keep a backup.
Do we need to patch the game after the fresh install? Or we can play it without the patch?

1.8 gb should be torrented **** i lost almost 5 hours in this ****** dl just to get disconnected without option to continue dl
beside of that why on ModDB 1.9 have 1.8gb and on SWAT only 860mb?

I also have dynamic IP and I just downloaded the Mod (again) to test it with DL-Manager.
DL-time needed = 10 minutes

there is no download at swat yet, dunno what you did see there
and download managers work here... your ip doesnt change every few minutues so there is no reason why a dl manager should not work
Whenever i got disconnected my ip range is changing and i cant continue download from moddb because of different ip checked for previously started file, so in this case download managers are useless for me.
It would be a lot easier for other guys like me if u could made torrent file or split almost 2gigs for 2-3 parts, but if u don't want than its your choice. Apart from that i finally got cf 1.9 on my disk after 7h with 2mb bandwith because of those problems :<

That betrays a profound ignorance. Torrents are quicker, more versatile and more manageable and to offer a 1.8gb download without the option of using them is quite archaic frankly. I'm actually quite amazed to read your comment.
Anyway, on a separate issue, when I launch into space for the first time, the game crashes to desktop. Any Idea how to fix that?
I too am having the same issue. First launch to space crashes to desktop. I have win 7 64/Nvidia 650/4g ram/plenty of hd space. Help is being asked. Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Must admit it sounds like an awesome update to an outstanding mod. Have enjoyed CF for many years, with no problems. But after 7 days of extended reading and attempts to resolve crashs to desktop after the movies- I'm confounded, brain dead and giving up (for now)... sigh...
Anyway, have waited this long, will continue to hope and watch for the patch, and will definately give it another shot the next time I pick up a new computer.
Regards to those lucky enough to get it working. Blaze a few for me!

the only prison for Breton is in Manchester system it is on the other side of the sun explore a bit and you will find it remember its surrounded by a mine field with only one way in and out

some times the game server deletes the dill or it gets moved just reinstall and please save your id bc in the new install you will need it ..

you can install it as much as you want but if your PC has not all neccessary drivers installed it will not work
