Well, then you don't. But most users probbaly have the regular, unpatched, ZH ;)
the only way to stop the error is to cheack that zerohour works without the mod if it dose then its the mod if it dosent the you my have to reboot the computer not saying do it but i hade to do it and it did work
I just got it, but the initial flash screen does a verification and says there is a new version available (2.84 MB or so) I don't have any of he demos, so do I download it or is this a glitch. I tried the game and I got into he training campain. I also have the latest verssions of C&C:ZH Sugestions? yes I am a newbie
where do you install if you use the c&c first decade version of C&C gernals zero hour ?

i fixed it by changing the install path to the general sub folder your installer does not auto negotiate zero hour path for those using c7c decade.

@bob3211: No, our auto-updater will ensure you always have the most recent version of CWC. THe small patch fixed the Manual and a small bug.
You can also check our Homepage (www.cold-war-crisis.de) for the latest version. On the left side of our Portal is a small box that shows the most-recent Version of CWC (the version number decreases (!) with every patch! Don't get confused by that, but it's needed so our Updater works properly). The Version v1.0 you have Downloaded has the internal number v498, our Patch updates it to v497, so get it ;)
i cant play... i have patached vr1.4..... it says technical dificulties..... nd i dont know wat to do... help me!!!!!!

Congradulations to the team for making the mod. A quick question though... Can anyone confirm that the mod works with Microsoft Vista?
CWC works on Vista. Simply execute the CWC starter (ColdWarCrisis.exe) with admin rights/privileges.
Thanks a lot. I would not have been very happy if I waited for the download to find out that I can't play it. Again, congrats to the team, and I can't wait to play it.

Skirmish mode soooooo difficult.
Congrats Widowmaker on the full CWC mod Excellent stuff and challenging gameplay it rocks!
Yet I find the maps that came with it are all too small - no matter my strategy I get boxed in real quick and get my head kicked in on each of the maps every time.
Think perhaps those AI grades of difficulty are not different enough or its just the small map size which makes it hard for me to turtle
Where can I find maps that cwc will support that are big enough for 6 or more playerrs - can anyone tell and give a link to such ?
Maybe there is some way to modify all the myriad ZH maps that exist, to work in skirmish in CWC and post them in some website

THX TVC15! but don't thank me I'm the 2d artist, I'm resposible for the graphics (textures, cameos, icons, videos). You should thank the whole team, especially 2132222 and sgt.skleni. without these 2 guys we had nothing to release ;)
about the maps ... right now there are no 6 or more player maps for CWC. but there will be a mapping tutorial out soon that will explain everything needed to create or convert the maps you like for CWC.
and about the turteling...thats what we wanted to achive ;)

Am I right in thinking that theres some of your work Widow in CWC that I might have seen from other mods like conquer or die and blitzkrieg II?
BTW what do the team think about the possibility of transforming ZH old maps ?

nope, I just spend my work on CWC. all CWC textures, icons, etc. were done by me for CWC. I'm not interessted to work for other mods and I never will ;).
that's not cuz I love CWC that much that I don't wanna work for other mods. It's simply that I don't care about other C&C projects that much and I will probably quit modding in the near future.
but I would like to know what stuff you've might seen from me for other mods!
about the maps ... we won't convert the old ZH maps, it's up to the community. and I think there will be a few guys who wants to convert the maps to CWC maps.

Man, i just downloaded it and it wont work...it works when i open the menu on the deskbar but when i click start then it looks like it tries to make it work then it says i got technical difficulties
i even downloaded the v.104 patch thing and still doesnt work
