Game has bugged out on me the main menu is empty can search for servers when i try join a server it says my account has been logged on with another computer when it hasnt.

Did you unchecked "show map list" as the warning points out?
for being logged somewhere else, erase ClientRegistry.blob from steam directory, and restart steam.
