Also, I'm currently playing on Windows 10, does this fix the sea graphics a little? It's pretty dark blue on mod 13 cause of the intel issue I suppose.

Without SwiftShader installed the game crashes going to battle mode (or just leaving the overhead sailing mode). But the problem with SwiftShader is that it's using software emulation as it's documentation states which causes performance to lag. The music stutters and the frame rate is noticeably poor. I have a laptop with an nVidia graphics card with Intel graphics onboard. I've tried setting the nVidia control panel to run it with the high performance video card but that doesn't help and I've read the old PotC game ignores that anyway. Besides without SwiftShader installed as I mentioned it crashes going into battle. What am I to do, nothing? I'll admit I'm still running the b14_beta3_installer. I'll update to beta 4.1 but I'm doubtful it will impact this issue. Any advice please?

PS. I'm using SwiftShader_V2.0_Demo.1 which is an installer. I tried using the x64 (for windows 10) SwiftShader v3.0 but it's only a d3d9.dll file and the game crashes at the same old place (entering battle mode) with that installed.

Found the solution. It was installing the Intel Fix (not! Swift Shader).

This MOD makes my life livable! Arrg! The Long Range Patrol Frigate is my favorite ship I can reach up to 20 knots with wind in my favor. Captain Gibbs as a companion is just awesome. You may find him in Grand Turks Tavern. He has the Legendary compass that will guide you to the Isla De Muerte.

Hello friends . I'm new to the page and could not find the place to post and I guess I post in the wrong place.
I have a problem with the New Horizons mod. I tell you a little about the steps I have followed. First I did a disk defragmentation, then I installed the game, I reset the PC, then I opened the game to the main menu screen and then I closed again. I installed the New Horizon Build 14 Beta 4 mod and then installed a file that published GAZ Vodnik (post_25May_updates). Then I opened the game, set up the game and my character (as castaway). I appeared on a beach, had two options, or went to The jungle or return to the lifeboat, First I went to the jungle and the game was blocked again and again, then I tried to go to the lifeboat, once there I talked to the only crew there was and then I gave the order to go to the sea navigate to reach the port and the game was blocked again, several times.
I have the original game of Akela, but since my PC is old the DVD does not work well and it is very slow. I thought that the installation could have skipped some file, so I downloaded the internet game and installed it (installs faster). I returned to follow all the installation steps of the mod but it always happens the same, it locks up and takes me out of the game. The error message appears on the screen in which the file that seems to be wrong in both cases is "engine.exe". I have tried the game in full screen, not full screen, safe mode, not safe mode, resolution 1024x768,800x600, I do not know what else to try. could you help me? I am very fond of this game because I have already played the stock version many years ago and when I saw the mod I felt like navigating again.
My Pc is an Intel Core Duo, 2Gb Ram, Nvidia 7300 Graphic Card.

Hi i'm new here and i want ask can upload mods for example mega.nz because a lot of people have weak internet and download from this paths it's impossible.
I have 40-50 kb/s and need 14h download 2,7gb but many times after 3h process downoad failed and cant download mod. I wanted try your mods like aop 2 cm3.2.0 , potc build 4.0 or aop historical immersion 5.0 but i cant :(
I will repeat my request could you add on mega.nz there are good speed download ? i would be grateful :)

hello when I open the installer and I am about to start installing build 14 it tells me that the original game was not found and to make sure to install pirates of the caribbean by akella first, but I already have the game installed I have the bathesda softworks folder and everything but she won't let me say the same I hope you can help me

i downloaded the game but while i press start new game she got me a black screen? pls help!!!

I put both the Files in the same Folder but it still says that the part 2 is missing

Strange but true:

If i download it with IDM it changes to a *.7z extension.

If i let Firefox download it ,it stays as a *.tar file.

I don't usually download via browser as large files usually fail about half-way through due to browser memory limitations (or something).

Anyway ,i renamed the 7zip to Tar and it seems to work with the installer exe and installs ok into the game folder.

So my problem is when i launch the Engine in build14 beta4 and when i start a new game it gives me a black screen.

Like when i select Tales Of A Sea Hawk it gaves me a black screen at all of the games modes give me black screen
