The purpose of BSPTwoMap is to decompile a Half-Life BSP file into a MAP file viewable in Valve's Hammer editor. The ultimate goal of this application is to produce something that can be easily recompilable (using Zoner's Compile Tools) into a working version of the map. In addition, any textures that are stored in the BSP will be extracted into a custom WAD file created by the application.
I think this is the best bsp decompiler if my memory serves me right since I used it once on dod_caen map and it did decompile the map properly without actually destroying it.
reuploaded here why exactly????????
this application kill the maps
Winbspc can preserve brushwork much better, seeing as this one breaks the map down into 1 unit thick brushes, & the texture values aren't carried over through the decompile, it'd be nearly impossible to get a playable & recompiliable map from this one, but still each one has their pros & cons, winbspc carves all the geometry it finds into a hollowed cube & is much better for preserving prefabs & stuff along those lines (despite the mountains of invalid brushes it leaves in it's wake), buuut if you know what your doing, maps from winbspc are much easier to restore than ones from this one.
Now source developers can go to gold source.
This just wouldn't freaking work
