Works with update 1.67
Hopefully this has fixed at least the majority of issues with the engine sound dropping out. However i'm sure there are still some problems left to solve.
Instructions:
Unpack Zip file and copy and paste the "mod" folder into your "sound" folder located in your warthunder Directory
WarThunder/sound/mod/ <---here
Then open config.blk with notepad and add the line:
enable_mod:b=yes
Into sound block, so it looks like:
sound{
speakerMode:t="auto"
fmod_sound_enable:b=yes
enable_mod:b=yes
}
Can now Run through the Launcher
To remove:
Just change the "enable_mod:b=yes" line to "enable_mod:b=no"

Fixed PT76 Engine Sound (i hope...as i dont have it)
Fixed 20mm tnsh loop

KV-220 gets it's own sound because in the changelog they said they added the 'supercharger and engine sounds' for it

Turret traverse sound seems missing(so far on PT-76B,KV-220,M10,T-34 1942,T-34-85(D-5T),T-34-100 and Chi-Ha Kai)
also shell switching sound and towing cable activation sound seems to be missing too
for turret traverse it appears all tanks using the "hand cranked" turret traverse set will be mute when turret is traversed
Can confirm, having same missing sound issues.
Works like charm man,now the sounds are heard both on Arcade,RB and SB.
Working great, haven't encountered any errors so far.
The new 50mm gun sound sounds really under whelming though. It sounds much more like a rifle than cannon, kind of similar to Bofors' sound, just a bang with no boom. (Which imo also sounds rather under whelming and possibly inaccurate)
I'm guessing you took the current Bofors sound from Youtu.be since to me they are identical.
The biggest problem with this one is it's missing a lot of the lower frequencies.

ah this is my mistake, I forgot to mention that you need to create the "mod" folder to put the file in. Heres a Vid of how to do it.

I love this sound mod. Been using it for quite awhile. I have one question though, since Gaijin has released a page about "Countermeasures against forbidden modifications", should i worry about using it? I want to continue using this mod but then again, I don't want to risk myself getting banned for such a little thing. Anyways, keep up the good work, B0ris!

Bug report: M103 engine sound is not heard after it is damaged , happened when playing RB.

same happen to me with panther 2 and Tiger 105 and PZ 4 F2, maybe it's happening with most tanks, when engine gets damaged and repaired the sound doesn't work anymore
Yea I have the same problem.
don't know if it's known already, but the audio levels on the M163 vulcan is near inaudible
as in interior? exterior? other players?
exterior has been pretty quiet last few updates.

Love the mod but the gun sounds an engine sounds cut out for me relatively often. I dont know why they do it and I have reinstalled the mod multiple times. Could it be my surround sound?

I was wondering if you can add rocket sound for Katyusha. It had same sound as Panzerwerfer, also there are clips from Syrian conflict in wich there is used a type of rocket called "Elephant rocket" wich has the same sound as katyusha's rockets from WW2. I can help you with some links.
