My norton internet security that found the file "total war realism default settings.exe" with a virus (Trojan.ADH)!
any oomments ?
Trojan? I have McAfee and it said it picked it up. I can't tell if it is REAL or not.
Mine Pickuped Rootkit, I was Running Hitman Pro 3.5, Cloud Anti-Virus/Malware, It was in BF2 Settings, it is -NOT- a rootkit, and It comes up as this because it re-edits your Serversettings.con File Located in your My Documents/BF2/Profiles Folder. Check installation Files for Proof.
The Trojan Never Came up when I Scanned, if there is a Trojan, it was by Break Media // Gamefront, thier known for this, I Ripped the files from My Gamefront Page, and Uploaded them all packed together here in this 2011 full build. Please Delete when Found, and the Filename of the Trojan would be Good too, weather I can Verify it or not.
Ahh, I See what File it Is Now, Check Installation Files for BF2 Default Server Settings.Exe, My Hitman Pro Picked Them ALL UP as a Rootkit (Bf2 Default Settings, TWR Settings, TWR S&D, and BF2 Easy)(Because it Re-Installs a Previous Installed File, this is Why its a 'Root Kit' This is Made To Install TWR/BF2 Default Settings) it Definatly Is NOT a Trojan, Unless it was Modified by Break Media/Gamefront in thier Upload Process of the Install Files. PLEASE CHECK the Installation Files apon Install, the only file you should see installed IS::: Serversettings.con
trojans also cant run from txt documents, so that is secondary proof.
It was Picked up as a Rootkit, Because it Reinstalls a Previous Installed file on your System, I HAD to Do this Because writing an Extensive Game Mode Changer Application would Still do the EXACT Same thing that these .exe's are doing (Reinstalling serversettings.con) Only therefor, it would be by an Application, Instead of Direct File Contact. (executable Installer)
BUT, if it installs anything else other than Serversettings.con or .txt, PLEASE DO NOT INSTALL FOR IT IS A TROJAN. I Will Upload a Clean BF2 Server Settings.con ASAP.

how do i install this?
Like jordyboii asked, when I get zip files and stuff from mod downloads, if I just extract all the files into /mods in BF2, it won't work. Can someone gimme an idea of how exactly the zip files were meant to work out into properly being extracted into the mods?
The .zip files contain .exe's Installers, your meant to unzip the files and run the installers, except for on the 8.3+8.4 patch which the files are to be placed in the mods objects_realism.zip folder.

Urgh, this looks like such a great mod... why did it have to be packed in a torrent!!! I wish at least you could download the files manually and install manually... its not very hard to install BF2 mods mahually... oh well
if your a steam user I do not recommend this mod, any other mod yes most of them work and have handy WORKING self installers that also finds the steam location (if your the lazy type) but any way your gonna spend 5 hours downloading it from a torrent then have only the core file install and windows security tell you, you cant install the levels so then you go to bf2 file front to find the levels so more downloading at least the uploader is gamefront, but atleast the patches will install but the 8.3b gives your trouble and then you have to extract the objects file like 500mbs and 3000 files so thats like 10mins then place the patch file into it then re zip it and it still didn't work..... so people you can bash on me for screwing something up in my own install but don't bash for my grammer/puncuation in the end I don't give a crap I do really wish this could have worked for me it still looks like a good mod and if anybody has a way for me to get it to work then msg me my system is Windows 7 64bit

I love your mod, everything is working :). And checked Bitdefender Internet Security 2013 and found no virus :). The file is clean :).

Well I have a problem... This screwed up every other mod I have (not much really, just made the spawn time 30 seconds).
Why did you upload a torrent? It would be much simpler for us downloaders to put it in a .zip :(

Could someone help me? I know its 2016 but when I double click the installer it doesnt load. Even after 1.5 hours and its stuck in my processes on my task manager and I cant end it, it just stays. I even tried command prompt but I dont know the image name since the one in the process tab of taskmanager has spaces in the name so thats not it. Is this normal for it to take so long?
When I click on the shortcut nothing happens. I have the correct target and everything. I'm very frustrated. What is the fix?
