this was released in 2006 so that mean's it works for patch 1.3 <duh
and bf2 1.5 has compatibility to work in it but it's still buggy

Er no, run in Administrator Mode and Compatibility Mode for Windows XP if you're using Windows Vista or 7.
Hi InSovietRussia, im having a problem starting the bf2 editor.
Installation went fine, but when i chose the selected mod i keep getting "DirectX version 9.0c or higher is required to run bf2. Please install DX9c and try again." But i have DX11?! My machine is 64-bit Windows 7, please respond ASAP.

I tried installing it then this message comes up saying "BF2 editor can only be installed on windowsXP" then it cancels the installment D:
You gotta run it in compatibility mode first.
Does it work for windows 7? (thats what my Asus laptop Gaming repucblic top of the line) i dont want to use my Apple Laptop for this

People that are having the program say you need DX9c, all you need to do is run the program in compability mode to windows XP (Service Pack 3) and run as admin... Hope that helped guys :)

Try using troubleshoot compatibility (unzip, then right click the file). Then do Try Recommended Settings.

I believe it's because of the pirate version, but how the **** should I install it If BF2 is not sold at Origin anymore?
If you buy the disk off Amazon, then you can put the code into Origin. Even if it doesn't work, just go on a livechat with an EA operator and they'll sort it out for you ^,^

it says bfmc.dll missing and ive tried running in compatibility serive pack 3 and no dice. Also as admin it tells me bfmc.dll missing....

I got it to work to an extent. Go into properties and go compatibility mode. I use windows 10 too.
Great, but when I go to create a custom mod, there is no *load parent mod" check boxes. None of the files from vbf2 load into my mod there after. Any solutions?

Unfortunately i was forgot how to fix that, and my BFeditor now broken
I assume the way to fix it by installing required directX from battlefield 2 itself, which you could find if you download a cracked battlefield 2, those cracked version tend to have required software to work properly
