Conquer the galaxy with the full version of Ascendancy, now compatible with Sins v1.85.

Because Sins is a 32 bit program, it is limited to 2 gigs of ram. To get around this, please enable the Large Address Aware program included
in this download. To do this, open the program, in step one locate your Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion exe ( in ...Steam\SteamApps\common\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion)
Check the box in step 2, and save. This only needs to be done once.

Delete all old versions before installing.
To install Ascendancy, put the extracted Ascendancy-Sins folder in your Mods folder:
...Documents\My Games\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\Mods-Rebellion v1.85 (Default)
To run the mod, edit EnabledMods with notepad to contain the following four lines:

Then you can run Sins normally, and Ascendancy will load.

if u wanna change versions to like 1.82 if ur using steam right click sins and hit propities and go to betas
I can't find 1.85 on Steam. Does the new version still work for 1.82 or 1.84? Mine keeps freezing on the first screen, and the Forums are drawing blanks.

That's what happens when Stardock puts out like 3 patches in 3 days with no warning.

No, nothing from Episode VII or any of the Disney canon will be in the mod; it's a completely separate timeline from the one that existed in the old EU, which is what this mod draws on. Nothing in the mod exists in the universe in which episode VII takes place.

why not have all the stuff no matter what canon, wouldbe pretty cool, even if you made a bunch of races/teams, it would just make the mod better, if done correctly which im sure you could do, btw blood good mod
the point of this mod is to encapsulate the expanded universe part of star wars (what happened after Endor, like in the Thrawn trilogy by Timothy Zahn)and if one were to add the first order and other non EU stuff to the mod it would destroy the entire purpose of playing it. If you want a mod based off of the new movies that Disney shat out of it's corporate arse then don't try to change other mods, just wait and one will pop up eventually.

You can't really make it simpler than the readme. There's no arduous process to install it, you're literally just putting the Ascendancy-V1F folder in the folder it tells you to, and then putting the enabled mods file (which we even include a copy of, so you don't even need to edit it) in that same folder. It's moving two files, we can't really make it more simple than that. If you download directly to the Mods folder, you're literally just extracting the folder. We can't make it more simple than that.

Waited an age for this mod, and such disappointment...did you look at sins and think your own way was better....the UI on this thing looks like its been designed by a chimp. You cannot tell much difference from cap ship to frigate/cruiser, whats with the diamonds, squares and triangles representing ships on the info tree....how about ship icons that actually resemble the ships on screen, just like you get in the base game. I played this heap of junk for 10 minutes, I cannot bare look at it, nevermind play it, how long did you put into this mod...5 minutes..This post will likely be removed, don't care, truth hurts, if this is your interpretation of a 'good mod' you can run about the zoo with the rest of the chimps. Probably get heckled by all the YES MEN here, who clearly have no taste...good luck to you. If I knew how to mod, and put out this BS as my final draft...I would shoot myself

Those aren't missing. For the first bit, there are no multi "star" maps in the mod; the star is the galactic core, and the solar system is the galaxy. There's only one galaxy.
As for the starbases, the constructor is in the exact same place as in the base game. Second row of your cruiser tab.
if you play occupation victory it creates a separate star system that you must travel to to capture the planet
The only victory conditions currently supported in the mod are flagship and capital.
So, is wormhole functionality removed, or nah? What other core functionality has been removed and/or altered?
Wormholes aren't really a thing in Star Wars. The only things we're removed are the ones that cause broken gameplay (the Vasari being able to go anywhere at anytime), don't match the universe (wormholes) or we haven't gotten around to finishing yet (further victory conditions). Pretty much everything has been altered.

At least you don't have a mysterious m at the bottom of your gameplay.constants file. I'M LOOKING AT YOU, LAVO. Plus ugh that stellar classification... spent all day getting that to work with the UI for the in game map designer. I make tweaks in notepad++ that go past the slider limits afterwards, and, yeah, I know, I could technically just make a map via notepad++, but that would be a pain in my derriere, since then any mistakes can cause the map to just up and flip a table.

I have not read all of the comments on this forum but I was wondering what you had planned for your upcoming 2 new races you're planning on adding to the mix? So far you're all doing a bang up job... really good stuff.
I installed it exactly as the instructions specified and it won't go past the Ascendancy logo before it crashes creates dump file and exits. Can I get some help please?
