The most radical mod for the Total War games now allows multi-option play with modular biometric animation. The new 8.x series features live-like models with fast rendering and bug free game play.
8.4A release contains dual installation packages, One for 18+ players and the other for age 16 and above. And the latter targeting age 16 and above is still in beta mode only, therefore even though it is a more "family friendly" version, please experiment with it at your own risk.
8.4A also has the objective of revamp the shield models, where Amazons Total War had some of the best shield facing designs, the same cannot be said about its back facing as well as the lack of handles, it is 8.4A's goal to address these issues. As well as introducing more female units for rebel and mercenary units.
How does one choose between the 18+ and 16+ figure sets? I see the two batch files. Which is default?

The default on 8.4 is adult, on 8.3 there is only one choice.
If you chose the batch command file for 16+ Beta, you get a more family friendly version (albeit still being tested with bugs found).
If you chose the batch command file for 18+ Only, you have the nudity version.

Problems with Load and Save from Single Player - anti-Imperial campaign. Buttons not activated.

You have to wait until the initial script is fully activated, and then use the showme script button, to activate the 4 turns per year script.
The script is so large, it takes significant longer than the vanilla RTW script to load.
Also you might want to publish the faction you are playing, so we can match it with our automated test matrix to compare result.
One way to be sure is to wait for the advisor showing up stating that this is your first time re-starting the RTW, then you should start the showme script.
When you see the advisor warning that you have just started the game engine, the initial script is completed.
The latest release 8.4A patch 8, addresses major problems discovered in the full automated matrix quality assurance test.
Among which were
1. Crash when Gallic force (Arvenii) has certain female standard bearer on the battlefield.
2. Barbarians Germanics and Gallic are among the most difficult to play, it is almost impossible with 8.x release, due to the latest QA discovery that the higher level troops can never be recruited due to the Barbarian factions are inhibited from building tier five administrative buildings.
All these errors have been corrected, and you can download the latest 8.3 (minimized nudity) and 8.4 in the download pages.
What Windows version you are using, and which decompression utility you used.
We recommend that you use Win 7 and 7Zip utility, because some compression software claimed 7zip compatibility but cannot handle compression ratio of 20:1 which we exceeded (25:1) for some files.
Windows 10 may or may not work, and no matter which version of Windows you are using you have to make sure that you are not copying links but the physical files to the location.
