Rest in Peace Westwood.
They aren't all dead- Mostly just absorbed by EA.. but there are a few members. Maybe the ones that kept the games following the path of the originals? Although it seems everyone hates generals and kane's wrath--I love it. Alot of people do. It takes alot more strategy then the somewhat later games when EA first purchased Westwood (around the time of Red alert 2 and Renegade). I've been playing from 1996. I used to like Red Alert 2.. but it eventually got boring.. and Renegade just seems like such a failure now. Renegade was probably EA's dumb idea, their games are good.. just alot of their ideas are really STUPID. I mean, an FPS based on an RTS?.. That isn't even somewhat near the original Command & Conquer game? Anyway, Back to C&C3 Kane's Wrath and Generals Zero:Hour.. Only Red Alert, Command and Conquer and Tiberian Sun actually took the Skill that Kane's Wrath and Zero:Hour did. Not that Red Alert 2 wasn't good.. just that, Tiberian Sun was being most worked on by westwood.. then EA baught them and rushed it over. Then Red Alert 2 was unfinished and it could have been better. It was a good game but wasn't AS good as strategy goes compared to the earlier ones. Which in Generals and C&C3 EA managed to do very well.
