We're looking for a concept artist who's familiar with the Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun universe and it's unit design as well as general atmosphere.
Our project, Tiberian Genesis, will add realism and functionality to the current units, as well as respect the general art style of each faction (GDI and Nod) regarding new ones - documentation will be provided.
We're planning on releasing the first playable version before 2013 and we're in process of creating assets, buildings and weapons for the players. We're using the mighty CryEngine3 so we could use a few details here and there.
Your job will be to draw a set of concepts based on a set of references and requirements put out by the art department that will serve as blueprint and inspiration for the the modelers and texturers.
In case of buildings and props, you will have to add some "flesh" to the original, pixelated objects and turn them into a detailed concept.
At this stage we are primarily looking for a weapon and building designer, but skills in character, environment and technical drawings will definitely be a plus.
Some of the things we need right now:
- Brotherhood of Nod - primary assault rifle
- Brotherhood of Nod - secondary weapon (pistol or PDR/SMG)
- Global Defense Initiative - secondary weapon (pistol)
- Various characteristic buildings and props from the original (for first map)
