Pixel is the art-name of video game developer Daisuke Amaya. He is most well-known for a game he released in 2004: a freeware PC platformer called Cave Story, which was created entirely by himself over the period of five years. He also created the game Ikachan ("Squid kid"), which he released in 2000, as well as many other lesser-known games.
