I don't think you can. there are code libraries and plugins associated with the the plugin. you probably need access to those original codes to make new plugins.
Autodesk will help because I was talking with them. But we need your votes to make them interested it. I suppose their experts have enough skills to write plugins.

w3x is a proprietary format owned by EA with extremely limited use. it's unlikely Autodesk will acquiesce to this suggestion. but good luck.

This plugin isn't made by audoodesk.
You can find max 9 for free in some places.
We even contacted one of the Westwood people who involved in it, and no luck.
