Intel is expanding their annual Superstars competition to include Video Games and is providing indie game developers with an opportunity to showcase their creative expression, gain valuable exposure and win great prizes. Fans can vote on their favorite game trailers and will help determine the ultimate Superstar winners. The campaign is powered by Ourstage.com and also includes Music Video and Short Film competitions.

Those involved with producing and promoting video games can submit Video Game Trailers from several "Best Of" categories, including:

  • Action/Adventure/Shooter

  • Casual/Puzzle
  • Sports

Video Game Trailer submissions begin May 7, 2012 and run through June 29. The first phase of fan voting begins May 24, and runs through June 29. Following the initial submission period, 10 semifinalists from each sub-category will compete for the top five slots within the Game Trailer category. A panel of judges will review the top 5 category finalists and winners will be announced in late July.

One winner from each category of Game Trailer, Short Film and Music Video will win a director’s dream studio package valued at over $5000. The prize package includes a desktop, a laptop and goodies from the following sponsors: Intel AppUp, Asus, GoPro, iBuyPower, Audio Technica, Microsoft, Legacy Interactive, Bethesda Softworks, Zombie Studios, Magix, Cakewalk, ArcSoft, Cyberlink, , NewTek, 3DShop.com and Sony. As for the article, good news.

Indie Developers have been on a winning streak lately.

Day Z should be going retail soon enough, they're in talks of it with Valve & Bohemia.

Source can't support very big maps. It wouldn't have been much point in remaking the entire thing on that engine.
