Although I think you could tolerate quite more than this 10% difference, I've looked into a polycounts of about a dozen of HW2 ships month ago and I wrote down the number of triangles of the highest and lowest LODs of each. It's just a small txt file, but I'm guessing you'd like to see that. Should I upload it somewhere?

Well, I was talking about poly count as you've said that we should keep to the HW2 style. And yes, I agree with you - perfection is unreachable, we should stop at some edges. HW2 "natural" edges are quite convenient, IMHO. )
