Even in its early days, Althas has been a land shaken by conflicts. In the early days, these conflicts pitted the Anointed Kingdoms of Men against the dark and demonic forces that threatened them. However, with the passage of time the world has changed. With the Anointed order eroding away and new powers rising, another war looms on the horizon, a war brought on by Man's own actions. Thenodar, a burgeoning new kingdom in the North, and Anorthile, one of the last of the three remaining Anointed Kingdoms, now prepare for a war that will shake all of Althas. Old demons and new enemies gather in the shadows of both lands as each sets their sights on the ruined wilderness known as the Feralands.

Meet the Team: 3D Modelers

Apologies for the long silence, we've been busy.

To make up for it, how about another installment of "Meet the ____", a segment where we introduce a group of members from our team. Today you'll be meeting our very talented 3D Modelers. They would also like to show off some of their wicked skills:

Kevin Eriksen

The Helmet by Justin was done by hand I believe, I did use the quixel suite for the Smith's Hammer. But I'll be replacing the quixel suite with Substance Painter and B2M, much better workflow IMO. A little more work, but the results look less 'samey', since you actually can create the base textures yourself instead of always using the quixem preset ones.

I'm pretty sure you can create the base diffuse texture in the quixel suite too although it's somewhat time consuming as you essentially end up making a texture twice. Once just in photoshop and then later making sure it looks good in quixel with all the nice effects that quixel can provide. I hadn't tried substance painter or b2m so I can't comment about them.
