Formed in 2004, Dead Cow Studios is a group of amateur game developers. We are currently working on The Chosen One, a large scale single player expansion for the classic Unreal Tournament.
Our main goal in TCO is to push the classic Unreal engine to its limits by adding new graphic effects and high definition textures as well as new game options such as interactive computer panels, vehicles or RPG features whilst preserving the unique atmosphere that the original Unreal provided. Kaka, Punish3r and niX have created some of the largest and most visually stunning levels ever to be seen on the classic engine, still, at the same time, the Dead Cows have managed to avoid the flaws of Legend's Unreal II - lack of atmosphere or the campaign's simplicity.
As for the visual effects and gameplay enhancements, the people responsible are: Raven, Kea and Qtit the Brave. It is Raven that programmed a new particle system and modified existing OpenGL renderer that included a lot of enhancements that were available only under Unreal engine 2.0 and above.
