Post news Report RSS Bloodpact releases alpha build of Darkshines for Oblivion

Darkshines: The Lonely Journey may be the most ambitious mod to be developed for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion since Nehrim, but the alpha was released in an insusceptible, quiet manner still.

Darkshines isn'r really kicking off until TES V: Skyrim, but Bloodpact is making sure their optional prequel holds water.
In just 6 months, what used to be a low-key development project has turned into something more. Bloodpact's Darkshines: The Lonely Journey seems to tick all the boxes with Oblivion fans, probably because it tries so hard to tie Oblivion to Skyrim.

The brand new content aside, the alpha won't contain hours upon hours of gameplay content. The first alpha reportedly holds less than 5 hours of game play to sink your teeth in, and this gameplay is stripped of all side quests and non-essential content to further specialize the feedback. "We don't want to spoil everyone's launch day", says project lead Thomas Johansen.

That launch day is the 1st of November 2011, which means you'll have 10 days to enjoy this beauty before Skyrim launches. "One last huzzah!" for Oblivion, we take it. The alpha is available at this location. And remember, your feedback seems to be desired more than air itself over at bloodpact.org

Well, your video-editing skills are evidentally good, but I don't feel like I got to see much of the actual mod...?
Looks promising, though. Keep up the good work ;]
